Ok, so it's tax return time and I am considering another Glock in addition to my G27... Im thinking .45 or 9mm maybe 10mm and Im not trying to get the "stopping power" debate going... I want a compact but not sub compact... What would be best you think?

G23 makes the most sense based on your current ownership of a G27
If you want to switch calibers I'd go to a G19.

I can't warm to a G30, but maybe you would like it.

If you want a 9mm you should look at the 19, if you want a .45 you would probably want a 30 (they call it a subcompact but it is more like a compact). The 10mm is only chambered in a full size 20 and subcompact 29.

Glock 19 or 23.

My 23 has a bit more thump than my 19. But If you time me I shoot it just as well. It's just that it's recoil wears me out on longer training days a whole lot faster.

Thanks all! Yeah I bought the G27 on a whim... its not that I dont like it, its just that its the only .40 I have now and only the 2nd one I have owned. I wanted to give it another shot. Im leaning towards the G19 considering its what I was looking at first when I was considering a Glock to begin with :p haha

When standing in front of the Glock models, put a G36 in your hands. It's my newest addition and boy was I hooked. Great shooter (like all Glocks).

Good luck!

You can shoot a whole lot more, for a whole lot cheaper, with the 19. Something to consider.

I've owned a 27, have a 29, 17, 17L, and a 21. Out of all of them, I like to shoot the 17L, then the 17 the most. The 29 is an awesome carry piece --it isn't really a subcompact, it just looks like one. The size is similar to a 19 (but wider). I found it to be more accurate than the 27 (but may be just me).

The 17L shoots one ragged hole consistently. A 19 would be next on my list. I reload, so .40 is less appealing to me.

Almost.

Buy a Glock 23 and an extra 9x19mm barrel for it. That gives you .40S&W and 9x19mm in the same sized gun.

I hadn't heard of this until after I bought my Glock 19 a few years ago. I recommended it to a friend and it's worked out very well for him.

^^^^deanimarors got it

I just bought a g23 last week, now I have a .40, 9mm. And .357 all built into one gun. Great deal. Love the g23.

My vote would be a G36 if you are going to carry with a IWB holster. If not than a G30SF.

If your refund isn't as big this year, you can get a 9mm conversion barrel. :)

i just got a 21sf, and i loooove it but i most say, this is a range/hd weapon, too heavy to carry, you may like the 30sf its smaller. i recommend the G19 if you want a 9mm and the G23 if you want a 40/357sig

i just got a g20 in 10mm and love it. just posted pics in the pistol forum. check it out. if you have man sized hands like me it feels almost as good as my baby eagle
