Glock Trigger Question

I've tried several brands of aftermarket connectors. The one thing, in my opinion, that they all have in common is that they're all superior to any Glock factory connector. ;) I don't require a lot of advice or time diddling around to figure out that I don't like a trigger. I figured out early-on, on my own, that I didn't like Glock factory triggers.

I also don't like the feel of nekked plastic in my hands, so I either use Agrip or some other grip cover on all my Glocks. Believe-it-or-not, the Wilson tennis racket grip tape covers make excellent Glock grip covers...and, they're cheap.

The sweet spot for me is the following set up for my Glock 19...

NY1 Trigger Module
This gives you a much stronger coil spring, compared to the stock trigger spring, a more positive trigger reset and brings the trigger pull up to 8#

Shearer 3.5# Connector
This drops the trigger pull, with the NY1 Trigger Module installed, to 6#, with no loss of the other benefits you get with the NY1 Trigger Module

I've found this set up to provide me with a very positive revolver like trigger, that has dramatically improved my accuracy with the Glock 19.

I believe this is the set up that Masaad Ayoob uses in his Glocks...you'll need to verify that.

You should try a few combinations and see what works best for you.

I fired the Glock today and it worked reliably. There was no brass to face - I did get one case bouncing off the top of my head, but it wasn't something that triggers my "must sell" reflex. Except for the one head-bouncer, it appeared to drop cases in a reasonable pattern, from 3 to 5 o'clock about five feet out. So, it function tests good.

Trigger's next. Is there any trigger available in which the safety blade doesn't dig into my finger nerve or is it time to get out the sandpaper?

Some trigger safeties stick out more than others. It will take a little getting used to. I don't recommend sanding it down, but maybe you could smooth it a little bit...

BTW, triggers will lighten with use.

Good Luck
