Going to give RMR 9mm bullets a try

RMR SHIPPING UPDATE: I called RMR today to adjust an order recently placed. During the conversation, I was told they are caught up to July 31 orders. Orders placed a week ago should be sent out in the next 3-4 weeks-ISH based on what was said. My order and the discussion was regarding 9 mike mike flat point MW. So not sure if this also pertains to other calibers and weight/grain. Just thought I would share. Glad it won't take until November to get them, which is 8 weeks (the estimated time on the website) away already.
Better to under promise and over deliver than the opposite

I placed an order for 1000 380 brass and 1000 380 FMJ bullets around the middle of July. The Brass was received about two weeks ago. The FMJ's are still on backorder. Prices were still good when I ordered so no worries with being patient.

I'm hoping my supply lasts until the quantity discount comes back. Depending on my shooting, which is much less due to pandemic, I should be able to go well into summer next season. Once that 3k price break comes I'll be ordering another 6-9k

I've had very good luck with all RMR bullets except for the 147gr Matchwinner. The OGIVE on that one is a tad too chunky. Gave up on Trying to get a usable load for it. I haven't used they HP bullets, but the 115 and 124gr RN bullets are solid performers. I've also used their 230gr 45acp Plated and Jacketed bullets and they are excellent as well. They do have a backlog, but if you plan and factor in the wait time, their lag time are pretty reliable.

I've used Power Pistol, CFE, TG, and WST on RMR bullets all with no issues. I've since settled on Power Pistol for 9mm bullets and WST for 45acp ammunition. If you can plan around the delivery times, I'm sure you will be happy.

I placed another order for 9mm 115 FMJ with them last week. Their prices were much better than any others I could find and I have a decent stock on hand so I can wait.

With the way prices have skyrocketed lately I've been shopping more on price than promised delivery time.

Do you guys see a group size difference over, say Bayou bullets to justify the increased cost ?
I'm still at the stage of trying to settle on a bullet for a bulk buy for 9mm / 147gn - was hoping to avoid sampling another bullet...

For me, the loads I've worked up have been incredible accuracy wise. At this time all I buy are the 124 grain in Match winners and mpr Jhp.

Perhaps I'll try some of the BB 120tc style to see but the accuracy and consistency has been stellar with the rmr.

I am planning on waiting out the current shortage until they bring back the quantity discount as that is very helpful in 3k orders.

Below is my Shadow 2 @ 25 yards with the 124 grain TC match winners.

It's funny how things work out. The day I posted my comment about having 1000 380 FMJ's on backorder it showed up in the mailbox. RMR follows thru.

I have every in-house jacketed bullet RMR makes. PM me and I can "Pay It Forward" you some bullets to do comparison testing.

My limited testing showed RMR bullets to produce smaller groups than HAP/Zero bullets and since, switched to RMR for my reference load development and myth busting accuracy testing.

Perhaps ELEY reached the same test conclusions when they chose to use RMR for their centerfire match ammunition? - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...-match-ammunition.854750/page-3#post-11282439

I am new to reloading, haven't begun yet but I have all the equipment (Dillon xl750 w/ case feeder). Does everyone like RMR 115 FMJ or 124 FMJ or 147?
All are good but I’m partial to the 147s. Sport pistol, N320 or Target make a minor load really sweet.

At the distances I shoot, I don’t see an appreciable difference. However I like loading the RMRs more than Bayous or Blues. But if I’m shootings steel, I’ll usually grab the lead rounds, just because if I’m going to frag myself, I’d rather it be lead. Good luck!

LiveLife - thank you for the kind offer !

I'm out of work right now, and the RMR's might be just a little above my pay grade. I have a Glock 19 which has never consistently shot really good groups. It seems that the faster I make it go, the tighter the groups become - but they're not something you'd want to shoot a lot of in a match.
I'll work on being consistent with what I have - mostly Xtreme 147's. AA #2 & Bullseye are working reasonably well.
