I will be in the metroplex for a a little bit, and am wondering, if their are any good gun stores I should check out while I am here. I have heard of Ray's Sporting Goods, but besides that I don't really know of any other places.

I haven't been in Ray's in years. They used to have EVERYTHING, but was the highest priced place in DFW. Also, be sure you have your concealed weapon with you. Ray's is in an area where you may not want to hang out after dark.

There is Bullet Trap in Plano, McClellands in Dallas, The Armory in Mesquite, Bachman Guns in Dallas, Wells Brothers in Plano, Elk Castle in West Ft. Worth, and of course Sportsmans Warehouse in Lewisville. There are others too, but I can't think of them off hand. Good luck.

Winchester Gallery on 820 in Fort Worth. Good selection, kinda high though and I've always been treated well there. Its also right next to a good indoor range.

If you enjoy antique and military guns, as well as collectible books (in adjacent book store inside the premises), check out Jackson Armory at 3416 Rosedale
Dallas, TX 75205.

I was in Dallas a while back and found them in the yellow pages. Nice store and friendly folks.

It's in an upscale shopping area near SMU where wives and girfriends can find plenty of junk to look at in nearby shops while you peruse guns.

Some of their inventory is listed on their website.

The Beretta Gallery in Dallas is worth a look. Prices are thru the roof, but they stock things you'll only see in catalogs...

If you're going to be in Fort Worth, you might as well drop by Military Gun Supply too. ;)

Whew, so many places to go in such a short time! I went to Sportsmans Warehouse today, and was pleasently suprised by their wide selection. I am going to be pretty busy while I am here, but I will try to check out The Winchester Gallery. Thank's for all the recomendations!! I will Certainly keep this thread in mind, the next time I come up here.
