Mrs Canasta & I made our weekly pilgrimage out shooting Saturday morning & while it was a bit breezy we had fun shooting steel & the Mrs worked on her new hobby: launching cheap 2 liter soda bottles with her AR. Spent the first hour picking up lbs of mostly 223 & 9mm brass off the ground.
I've been working on my latest pistol purchased, an Ed Brown Executive Carry. It was delivered in 2012 to the original owner & the night sights were dead. Put a gold bead front & U-notch rear sight along with some thin grips that I prefer on my carry 1911's, really liking the gold bead. New leather is finally breaking in as last week it seemed to be dragging on the suede lining but this week my draw from concealment & first shot on target at 10 yards improved to the 2.09-2.29 range starting cold.
Brought my CZ TSO as the Mrs is also concentrating on her 9mm shooting as she's working her way up to carrying a P365 or P938 rather than the 380 she started with & shoots very well.
All the brass is cleaned/sorted & guns are cleaned & oiled up for next week. I'm thinking of calling it a 22 day or maybe a black powder day, or a shotgun day as dove seasons starts a little over a week-we'll see
