At the local gun show Sunday, I traded a Smith & Wesson 66 4 inch .357 to a Ruger Blackhawk Anniversary .45. It's the Bisley model with the heavily engraved cylinder and factory faux ivory grips. It has the 7.5 inch barrel and looks to have been never fired. It came with a sharp custom leather cartridge belt and "Mexican loop" style holster.

I have 3 other .357 magnums, and I've been wanting a Ruger .45 LC for a while. Did I come out ahead, even or behind on my trade? I'm really loving the feel of the Bisley frame in my hand. It feels like the designer knew my hand and used that for the model.

I think you made a great trade for the Blackhawk, especially if you might deer hunt with your handgun.
I also have several .357's and really like the cartridge.....but I wanted to try a .45lc for deer. I ended up with a 7.5" Blackhawk and love it.
I bet you will too.

Just bought a Blackhawk 45 Colt two weeks ago.
I think you made a great trade.

I was surprised at the lack of recoil.
I thought it would be more than a .357
I have a 66-2 & it kicks more than a 5.5" Blackhawk

Not that I'm complaining :D
Just surprised.

Been looking at the prices of cowboy leather lately? That's $150.00 right there, and you even came out a little ahead without the holster and belt set. Ya done GOOD!
