Hi!

Thanks to Jon at Anvil Arms, and Bill Savage of Bill's Gun Shop (Pipersville, PA), I have my first-ever AR (that is, AR lower, for now), which is just in time as I undertake my move to TN for the summer.

The price of the AR+installed parts kit was perfectly acceptable to me ($175), so had the engraving turned out poorly or not at all, I would not have been (much) upset. However, I like the way it turned out; and I've posted a picture on the page linked below:

In one way, the picture looks better than "real life," because what looks like nice bright white in the picture is just slightly greyer in reality. But that's not much of a complaint! I mean, it was free, and it was done with a frickin' laser beam, from a PDF I provided. Hard to beat that!

The whole process, including finding time to get to Bill's shop (which is not all that far in miles, but takes a while to reach because of twisty roads and my ability to get lost), took just a few weeks. I was very pleased!

I'm sure that when I get the other parts and finally get a chance to fire it that I'll be equally pleased; for now it's just tantalizing.

Cheers,

timothy

I purchased a couple lowers from them at the lakeland, FL show last weekend. Top quality finish and john did the engraving right there, only took about 10mins. A "larger" (sorry) lady helped me out and i have never met a vendor at a gun show that was more personable and knew their $#!7.

I wouldnt mind buying the rest of my gear from them. Its nice to go to a show and have someone that doesnt mind spending 3 mins with you explaining things especially when it comes to suppressors and other NFA items.

very nice

here's mine............Anvil is great!

Is that gun for when the open source guys have had it with the Microsoft drones and begin the purge?

Well, not specifically, but I will be in Washington as of August/September if that should happen.

Actually, I hope to go shooting with some MS guys out there sometime soon, and I'd hope they'd get a kick out of the Tuxgun.
