Barrett model 98 bravo .338 lapua magnum rifle not bad at all as far as recoil, but it hurt ears to shoot with even plugs. and the real owner forgot his plugs once time and couldnt hear anything.
very nice of him to let me shoot the brand new thing during break in.
i flinched in fear of recoil :banghead:

I shot one of Barretts single shot 50s. It's a beast! Recoil is not nearly what I expected though. Kicked like a 12 gauge, but had alot of "push" to it. 338 LM is one of my favorite rounds though.

you should try a ken owens 4 bore double rifle. i got to shoot one of the 6 that he built last year. the bore is just slightly under 1" & it shots a 2000 grain fmj bullet.
its more like poww-fiftybucks but with a $115,000 rifle i guess you would expect the ammo to be expensive.
