Well, which one do you think can be made most accurate (relatively easily)?

Savage is usually my brand of choice, but I continue to hear good things about the Americans. CZ rimfires are rare where I live, so I've only had my hands on a couple, but I can get my hands on nearly any Savage rimfire.

For me, the price difference is pretty much a non-factor, but FWIW, I can get a BTVS for about 321 out the door, and I haven't seen an American that cheap anywhere.

The 455 will have a much better "feel" than the MkII IMO. I have a buddy with the savage, and while it is an extremely accurate gun, it doesn't have the "big gun" feel to it.

Both are extremely capable and equally accurate, but the CZ wins in fit/finish and overall quality.

Edit: In terms of "accuracy potential", either of these rifles with a nice scope will be tough to beat. I may mention that the trigger on the savage may be better than the CZ out of the box, but I believe the 452 trigger kits can be used on the new 455s. These cost about $20, and will give you a WAY nicer trigger IMHO than the savage accu-trigger. Don't forget about ammo either, that will effect your accuracy more than anything (as long as your trigger pulling is actcually a squeezing ;) )

Tim go over to rimfirecentral and drop down to the savage and cz area and ask. I am not sold on the newer cz's yet and many savages can shoot with what cz is turning out today.

CZ has a quality feel to it, the Savages have a slight bit cheap feel to them. The metal around the mag and the trigger guard is like tin. Both shoot great but in my experience the CZ will be slightly more accurate. I've shot both.
