Grip color on a stainless wheelgun! What do you like?

What color grips would you put on a stainless revolver?

There are a couple of places in Thailand that sell them on eBay. They have them for all of the more popular revolvers. It takes them about a month to arrive. I think these were only $30-$40, something like that.

I've had buffalo horn, Ivorex and cocobolo. I've enjoyed all three but horn definitely wears harder.

I voted "other", because form follows function, not the other way around. When I was MUCH younger, I thought that appearance in a handgun was of some importance. Now, it means nothing, and function reigns supreme.

So if you could get your best functioning grips in any color what would it be?

I tend to like contrast. Red wood looks beautiful on stainless. That being said, all my pistols wear rubber.

Assuming that one cannot have "both".

If you don't care about appearance, why feel the need to respond to this thread? Maybe I read too much into it but I always detect an implication that those who do care about appearance don't also care about function. The little condescending undertone that serious shooters choose rubber because "function reigns supreme" and if you choose anything even remotely aesthetically pleasing, you're not a serious shooter but are more interested in pageantry.

I hope you enjoy them!
That was quick, they came in this morning! I like the shape of them and the fit is very good. I will shoot with them shortly. Hoping to kill a fallow buck with it in two weeks, if my red dot and chest rig come in.

I'm partial to these on the King Cobra as opposed to the factory Pachmayr presentation grips that came with it from the factory.
