While cleaning my GSG 5 (among other guns) today my girl walked in and asked "what's that little thing laying on the floor?", I looked down and said "it's a front sight post, hmm".

Well it fell out of my GSG...:scrutiny:

There is a hole in the one side of the sight housing and through the bottom of the sight post. It slides right back in but looks like the hole is either for a set screw or roll pin.

Anybody have this happen? Or can anybody look at their GSG and see if I need a screw or what? I am gonna email GSG to complain and ask for a new whatever-is-missing. I assume it vibrated/shook out from shooting. I just got this thing on black friday, might be a good idea to give yours a look if you have one in case this isn't isolated to mine.

there is a small screw that holds the front post in place. a spare screw should've came with the replaceable front sight posts in a little baggie. if it's one thing i hate about the gun, it's gotta be the sights. poor method of adjusting the front and rear. took me twice as long to zero the gun. my screw fell out at the range.

Just checked mine, and the screw is still there, but not engaging the sight enough to keep it in, as it had almost fallen out when I was looking at it. Fun stuff...
