How about some fun, instead of controversy?

Here is every rifle caliber I currently own (except .22), organized "roughly" from little to bigger. How well do you know your rounds? I don't think this should take too many guesses.

(Some are really obvious, others may be more difficult.)

30 carb, 5.56, 7.62x39, .30-30, .308, '06, .300 WSM? .300wm, .338wm. I take it you like your .30s :D
Can others play? Most of mine would be pretty easy tho LOL.

OK I will bite:
30 Car, 223, 7.62x39, 30-30,308, 30-06, 30 win short mag, 300 winchester mag.

Ps .338 win mag that I missed.

You lost me past .30-06, Don't see the need for all the wonder .30's for me, anyway, so I never fooled with them.

I picked out the American military cartridges, the rest were a mystery to me. I guess that shows my particular interest in firearms, and a reason why I don't know anything about hunting weapons.

Here are my centerfires.

Others are certainly welcome to post theirs if they like. I really don't have any unusual calibers.....

Roger that, here are some rifle rounds with a few pistol cartridges sprinkled in.

Now I have to go look, been so long, I don't remember them being rimmed. Must be time to get it out and use it.

Ah, I do enjoy this game.

Gtscotty here are my guesses 35 whelen, .270 WSM, 9mm, 9.3x62, 7.62x39, '06, 45acp, 5.56, .380...Im not at all positive on most of those lol.

Are you sure that's a 35 Whelen you're seeing? :D

Ok, LoonWulf, yours are pretty tough, but here is my guess:

.223, .222 Rem Mag?, .243, 7-30 Waters, 7mm Rem Mag, 30-30, ?(My Google-Foo failed me on this one), 30-06, 300 Win Mag

Pretty close Scotty, Its not a .222 Rem mag (sent you a PM). Im impressed you got the Waters, nobody localy ive shown it to has recognized it...Only thing i can come up with for your other round would be a.338-06

LoonWulf, PM'd back, the .222 RM look-a-like is definitely a sleeper ;)

Im impressed you got the Waters, nobody localy ive shown it to has recognized it...

They don't call me a Gun Nut for nuthin' ! I've always thought the 7-30 looked like it would be a really efficient deer slaying round, especially if you could get a lever gun so chambered...

Well done, i think the Gun Nut title is well earned :D Loaded in my 14" contender the Waters hits 2400 and change with a 120grn BST. Flat pointed bullets are getting a bit hard to find now tho, or id already have a lever in 7-30.

And sorry for the picture guys, its a tad shinny and hard to distinguish details.

Is the crimp on the 7.26x39 in the first post as aggressive as it looks?

How many times can you do that before the brass is toast?

Here is my entry, I am working on some guesses
I have give a clue, they are all metric....

303tom... close... the underlined were wrong, wildcats do make guessing tougher...

223, .243, .256 Newton, 7.62x25, .30 carbine, .308/7.62x51, 8mm Mauser

.300 AAC or Whisper, 7.62x39, .375 H&H, .45-70, & a .450 Nitro

451,
I was going to guess your 22 Cheetah was a 260 AI, I probably never would have thought of the Cheetah though. As an aside, what kind of velocities do you get out of that .375/338?

303tom,
I can't tell you whether you guessed right or wrong... until you guess
