oming down on target
In the mid 1950's I was in the USMC.
After qualifying with the M-1 rifle (I shot expert, BTW - Just had to brag), our company was given a familiarization run with the 1911A1 and the BMG.
The instructor told us to aim at the top of the silhouette target, and squeeze the trigger while slowly coming down on the target. His point was that we would be much more likely to hit a vital area with this method, especially with an unfamiliar weapon.
