Oh Lord almighty, please protect me and my family against bad men
.
.
.
.
.
While I'm reloading my gun!

Dear Lord,
Please don't put me or my loved ones in a situation where we will be forced to defend our selves. But if, in you infinite wisdom, you do, please grant me these four things:

1. A steady hand.
2. A clear eye.
3. Judgement to understand the situation.
4. Courage to act.

Amen.

Less of a prayer and more of a bible verse, but few people know that in the director's cut of the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because John Moses Browning, the Archangel, complained that there was too much gun control there. Lot's wife was turned into a pile of spent Wolf casings.

The Blackhawk is my shepherd, I shall not want....

The Blackhawk is my shepherd,
I shall not want;
He makes thee lie down in brown cowpats.
He leads me beside still waters;
He guards my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for the .44 is with me;
Your hollowpoint and Your reliabilty, they comfort me.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.

Huh???

Aim Small, Miss Small !

Gunny, what the frell does that actually mean? The first time I recall hearing it was in the scene in the film "The Patriot" when Mel Gibson (that paragon of RKBA defenders and all 'round paragon of virtue) told his sons
"Aim large, miss large. Aim small, miss small".

I wasn't sure what he meant. I hope it means it is easier to miss a small target (like a head or a knee) than a large one (COM). But if you really are a Gunny then I know you'll tell me the truth. Haven't met a Gunny yet that wasn't knowledgable 'bout the ways of war.

Cyborg
Burying your head in the sand only makes your a** a better target.

Aim small, miss small.

"Take a fine bead" is the way I heard it. "You aim at the heart, not the deer," is another variant.

Yea pick a small spot like a tuft of hair just behind the shoulder. On a man as in the Patriot, pick a button on the shirt not the whole torso. It will improve accuracy.

I think it means, if you aim at a small part of something you want to hit, and you miss that spot you will still hit the Target as a hole.

For instance: If you aim at a human eye ball, shoot, and hit between the two eyeballs you "missed small" Get it?

I guess I should Clarify My Handle "MT GUNNY", I was In the Army and I do have knowledge of Infantry Tactics.
But that is not why a Use it. "Gunny" I see as a all around term for Someone who is Knowledgeable in firearms, By no means Expert!
Gunny is also a term The Marines Use for a Sergent Rank. MT is obviously for Montana.

Blessed is this nut,
plucked from 'neath thine couch cushion,
blessed by The Lord,
who shapeth it akin a gun,
for surely it will demand,
a handsome ransom on E-Bay.

Yea,
though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for thou art with me.
Thy guide rod and thy sights,
they comfort me.
My grip is stable before me
as my enemies watch.
You anoint their heads with laser;
my clip overflows.
Only goodness and love
will pursue me all the days of my life.
I will dwell in the house of the LORD
for years to come.

Amen

Now I lay me down to sleep, my safety I pray 12 ga. to keep.

And if someone tries to steal my truck, I thank you Lord for 00 Buck.

And if zombie bikers bust in my place and try to eat the flesh off of my face.

I hope dear Lord you give me skills, to make the necessary kills.

I thank thee Lord for the right, to keep a gun by me at night.

And see me through until the mornin', in January when Obama is sworn in.

Amen

Sung to the tune of "Plastic Jesus":

I don't care if it's hell or heaven,
Long as I got my forty-seven,
