I actually bought my first 22 rifle there at Hyatt's many moons ago with money I made cutting grass.
Bass Pro Shops is right off the Interstate in Concord, as well. Lots of guns. But, it's like a bar during happy hour. Elbow your way to the front and place your order.
Gunslingers in Kingsport TN gets another vote from me. Very nice people behind the counter and a nice selection of stuff, considering the size.
If you want to make a stop in Bristol (exit 5 in VA), Buck and Bass outfitters just moved over beside the Harley shop. They have a lot of nice older and collectible weapons ( I just spotted a Remington Rand 1911 yesterday).
