gun you regret buying...

Generally, I've had pretty good luck, though I have bought several used guns that weren't in the advertised condition.

As for new guns, I immediately regretted ordering a RRA AR-15 that arrived with warped furniture and seemingly handmade feedramps. Their customer service was nothing to crow about. Years before I bought a Kimber fresh from the factory with an improperly tensioned extractor and a chintzy plastic mainspring housing. Neither belonged on a pistol costing north of a grand. Both of those are long sold off, the AR for a profit during one gun scare or another and the Kimber at a loss. So it goes.

A beautiful custom mauser 98 in .300 weatherby mag. After two rounds fired from the bench, It felt like someone hit your shoulder with a ballpeen hammer. Not to mention the several scope eyes it caused. And a 44 mag ruger redhawk. And I think it was a Kassnar 12 ga. double barrel, that would bloody you nose for sure!

I had pretty good luck so far. I would be batting in the 900s as far as firearms that I do like. I only have 3 that I wish I wouldn't have purchased.

Remington 710 - .270 - Grey stock Wal Mart rifle. It's not a bad shooter but I didn't know a thing about rifles when I bought this thing. Coming from Ohio where you have to hunt with shotguns, I was missing any experience with rifles. I still have it. It's my beater rifle now.

Glock 23 - I knew I didn't like Glocks but thought I could learn to like them. I was wrong.

EAA .45 acp - This pistol is great now, but again it was my first used firearm purchase and I didn't know what to look for. Barrel was garbage and the rear sights were canted. - Became my practice pistol for gunsmithing.

I'm surprised mine hasn't come up yet:
Remington 522r.

Worst gun I have ever laid my hands on. Basically I got this when I was still learning and it turned out to be an unreliable, expensive ammo loving, inaccurate, and unergonomic piece of junk. Traded that one away for a loss. Oh well, live and learn I suppose.

I've only had one; an intermediate-length large ring Mauser that was sporterized by Century Arms. Sadly, and unbeknownst to me when I bought it, CAI's drunken monkey subcontractors had managed to screw the barrel into the receiver crooked, effectively ruining both the barrel and the receiver in the process. I found out only when I could not get it to reliably group and took the rifle down for detailed inspection.

I did manage to donate the only salvageable part - the bolt - to a local gunsmith...

I dont have one i regret buying. But i wish i bought this good condition 20 Ga pump shotgun for $100. It was safe to shoot and the guy said it was for turkey, i didnt buy it cause the stock was not so good looking with a big scratch up side. I should have bough it but i have my Stevens 237.

Seecamp 25 Auto when they first came out.
JAM-O-MATIC!

I have shot a $50 Jennings that shot better than that junk.
Total waste of about $380 (and that would have been back in the 80's)!

I had to have one because I saw an ad that they were coming out.

Sent it to the factory, a month later I got it back and the exact same thing happened no matter what ammo I used. :cuss:

Many are just safe hanger outers, have a few that have never been shot after having them for a few months:eek:

I have a lot of money into a Desert Eagle that been better not to have gotten to be honest...It is very much a conversation piece when it goes to the range though. It will be around long after I am gone:)

Then others can deal with it;)

Remington sendero 25 06. what a pile of junk.
remington 700 bdl 25 06. ditto on the pile of junk.
both rifles sucked, wouldnt shoot worth a pinch of shizzit.
I bought them because my dad had two bdl 700s in 25 06 from the early 70's, I grew up watching him make some pretty awesome shots with them. I wanted to follow in my dad's foot steps with the remingtons. What a disappoinment. They were traded for a different brand of rifle in 25 06.

A springfield SAR 8. although i did get a brand new m1a out of that deal.

Fulton armory m1a-also a minute of barn accuracy.

I don't regret buying any of the guns I've had. Though I suppose if I had to choose one, the Glock 19 would be one I was disappointed with -- it might have been me but I couldn't hit paper at 15 yards with it.

I do have regrets about selling some guns though.

Kahr P9. Didn't work when brand new. Didn't work after 500 round break-in. Works OK now after a round trip back to Kahr, but I don't fully trust it.

Chiappa 1911-22. Won't go 35 rounds without a stovepipe. Sent it back to them for repair, at my expense :( and it came back if anything worse!

My Kahr CW9 broke half way through the first box, they fixed and its been fantastic since, I've averaged about 200 rounds a month through it for almost six years with only a couple of recoil spring replacements and a new striker spring when my wife claimed it as her carry piece.

The SECOND KT P3AT I bought. The first one, I didn't care much for it and sold it. Had immediate sellers remorse and bought another one. Didn't like that one even MORE than I disliked the first.

Sold the second for a 10/22... about my third, none of which I kept because I never liked the gun.

I am getting better at that now :)

Honestly, if I could return my H&R Pardner for a full refund, I would. At the time, I thought it was a really good idea: Lightweight, inexpensive, I can throw it in the car or take it fishing. I Think its a fantastic gun, I just don't have much use for it, and the $115 I have into it could go towards a fair bit of ammo.

My Sigma 9mil was great for about 3 months then random would fire on its own. Did it twice once sitting on the table into my fire place. The other time in the car between my legs through the seat, the heel of my boot, the floorboard of the car, Ricocheted of the road and into my mailbox. Wife wont ever let me forget that one.

Winchester coyote .223 WSSM. bought it from dealer inventory after Winchester shut down. The chamber is so sloppy the fired cases look like they came out of a 1945 Jap rifle.

My ar-15. Just had to have one before the last big election. It is fun to shoot I suppose, but it just isnt my style. I much prefer my sa revolvers, and lever action/single shot/bolt action rifles.

Kel-tec SU-16. Wanted an AR15 but wanted to go cheap, and did. Then, of course, I got the AR15 anyway, and it's twice the gun the Kel-tec is, and the Kel-tec just looks disapprovingly out from the safe and says, "You should have just waited."

Broke needed (wanted) a gun to keep in home, bought a Sigma. Wish I never had would have been happier with a Charter Arms .38 snub, which I traded it for. I did learn after that to take my time and not to fall for hype when a dealer has a sale, sale means we can't get rid of it fast enough, lol.

I spent too much

Four years ago i got into a temporary fiancial situation where i could buy some guns. However, i live in an area where prices are higher than i realized. I was unaware of the online dealers and paid way too much for some of the guns.

Bought a CZ P-07 when I should have gotten a CZ 75 instead.

Bought a Kel-tec P3AT (good gun) but could have gotten a Sig P6 for $30 less!!! Sold the Kel-tec a few months later and lost $50.
