Mauser pocket pistol in .32 acp.

Not a wonder of anything but it was indeed a nice little gun. Had jamming problems and I sold it off, found out later it was a very simple problem and if it hadn't been for the jamming I never would have sold it.

I had a little Savage .32 auto pistol for a while, model 1907 I think. I've always regretted getting rid of it. A real neat little gun, very accurate. One of these days I will find another one, probably double the price.

I know that fealing. Was fealing nostalgic just the other day and went looking on some websites just for fun to see what they were going for now round about two years later. What were they going for? A little over twice what I sold it for. Granted it had some damage to it but about a hundred bucks more then what I sold it for if I held onto it it seems.

Kinda regret selling my Ruger SP 101 .32 mag. Nice little packing gun. Also a pre-64 Winchester model 100 .308 Win. Probably the best whitetail rifle I've ever owned. Oh well.

Many of us have sold guns. Some we have regretted, some we have not. So, I was wondering what our (collective) experiences with selling have been. What have you sold, do you reget it, would you sell them again, would you buy them again?

Nothing that I have sold or traded off do I regret being rid of.

A sweet, 20 gauge BSS with 24" tubes, bored improved & modified, straight English stock . . .

Yes, I regret it, No I would not sell it again, Yes, I would buy it back (and I expect to do time in Shotgun Purgatory for this sin).

Guns I've sold:

-Taurus 9mm- don't miss it at all...ugh
-Ruger MkIII 22lr- another dont miss
-Llama .38 Super 1911 (really old, looked just like a GI .45)- wish I had that one back
-S&W Model 15's- had two, one 4" and one 2", wish I had them both back
-Ruger Security Six 6"- dont miss it
-S&W Model 19-5-this one I regret the most, awesome consistant shooter, 6 shots in one hole at 15 yards, sold it before I moved to Boston for...$175.00!
-S&W Model 12- it had mojo, but i wouldnt buy another

A near mint condition S&W model 28, 5" barrel with custom grips, a target hammer and trigger. It was the smoothest action I have ever seen. I sold it because I needed the money, and less than a week later, I had the money come in totally unexpectedly. I couldn't get they guy that bought it to sell it back to me. He still has it, but it's not in anywhere near the shape it was in when I sold it to him.

A Smith & Wesson Model 19, 4" barrel. I needed the money at the time, and though I "replaced" it later with a 6" Model 586, it would obviously be better to have both now, wouldn't it?

An '03A3. Paid about $100 for it, sold it a couple years later for $125 or $150 or so. I needed the money. This was a while back. Oh well. (sigh!)

10/22 - regret, always have room for a .22 plinker
Mosin Nagant M38 - happy, was fun but 91/30 shoots better
Yugo M48BO - happy, couldn't get it to group well
Glock 19 - happy, safe queen
Chiang Kai Shek Rifle - happy, got two more with better markings

I sold my Ruger Blackhawk .41 magnum 4 5/8" barrel for $200, I used it as trade in credit for a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum. Even though I like the .44 more, I still miss that little hand cannon.:(

Regretted:
HK 91 & 93, Beretta 96, Colt 1991

Never missed:
Glock 21, 23 & 36
S&W 1076, 4506, 22lr pistol
Taurus 380 pistol
Para P16-40
USPc 40
S&W 586
Beretta Bobcat
SA Mil Spec
Kimber Custom II

These are the ones that come to mind...I know I'm missing a few - probably one that would have ended up in the "regretted" column.

I recently traded my XD9 (plus cash) for an XD45. But I already regret the loss of the first handgun I ever bought. I don't regret the trade as I could not have afforded to purchase the XD45 without the trade, and I really love the new gun. I just miss the 9. It shot so beautifully.

I could whine and complain, but what's done is done and the price of getting an education. Some went because I was too dumb at the time to appreciate what I had or got the itch for something new and had to sell one to get one. Not to mention that things change. Sometimes less is more.

OTOH I have had my one and only spouse for 30 years now, my kids are raised and doing ok, and as a rule I drive my vehicles a long, long time.

Compared to those guns are not a problem.
