Glad I sold a Bersa Thunder 380. Didn't like that gun.

really? Most people seem to like their bersas. Especially the thunder .45s But the 380s seem to be okay. Did you get rid of it because of jamming?

I sold it because it jammed, because the grip screws fell out constantly, because the grip rattled, because the slide showed excessive wear, it wasn't a real accurate gun...OK, but not great for a fixed barrel, and I just didn't like it. It weighs 23oz., kind of heavy. I liked the Astra much better.

Sold (and Regret) an AMT Longslide. Tons of velocity and very accurate. Duh. Arnold used one in Terminator (which was why I bought it) I was 22 at the time..

Gotcha. Pretty common problems with those guns. Some good, some nightmares. Cant complain about that price though.

· S&W 1917 .45 ACP (1992) -- to this day I regret selling this pistol...bought it for under $200 sold for $250. Now you can't seem to find one for under $500.
· Browning Hi-Power P35 9mm (1991) -- regretted selling this one but replaced it last year
· AMT Longslide .45 ACP (1990)
· Ruger 10/22 .22 LR (1989) -- I'll get another some day
· Ruger 44 Deerslayer .44 Mag (1990) -- don't know why I bought this or why I sold it. Wish I had it now.
· Remington 700ADL .22-250 (1990) -- bought it to go varmit hunting when I lived in So Dakota...never was very accurate...don't miss it.
· Winchester 94 .30-30 (1991) -- don't really miss it...found I like the 1892 and 1873 pattern rifles better
· Remington 870 20 ga (2003) -- my first shotgun...probably shouldn't have sold it but I hadn't shot it for over a decade
· HK G3, 7.62x51mm (2004) -- funded the purchase of a DSA FAL so not a bad deal...I will replace some day with a PTR91
· FEG P9M 9x19mm (2004) -- was a little rattle trap and had a crappy trigger so don't miss it much
· Mauser 98k, 7.92x57mm (2005) -- funded a 98K I wanted more
· (2) K31s, 7.5x55 (2006) -- sold off to improve my K31 positions
· WASR-10, 7.62x39mm (2006) -- ditto above

I've given a couple away,no regrets. The only one I do have regrets on was a .22 pistol I bought from a guy in college. He sold it to me for $8 as he was unable to put it back together. I had it for about 6-7 years. in the late 70's I was a little straped for cash and my wife needed a clothes dryer,sooo.. I traded the pitol for a used GE. The pitol was a 50's vintage Ruger Standard Red Eagle. I could have replaced it yesterday in Tulsa for $2.500.

Ok-
M1 Garand- Don't miss it, because I never shot it-needed money

M1 Carbine-Miss it, would like to buy again but they are just too much right now-needed money:(

Marlin .22-Just want a decent .22 to replace it-needed money

Enfiel.303-Same as the Garand-needed money

SP101-Miss it, want to buy one again but don't have my pistol license for this state yet-needed money

Ruger Mark II Gov't Model(I think)-same as SP101

Does anyone see a pattern here? Fortunatly, my family has been blessed by a new job, so i can start collecting again. So far I've got a Mosin and an SKS.

sold a mint hk p7. I thought it was too heavy and I didn't carry it much for that reason alone. Very sad :( 6 yrs later I have bought another to replace the one I sold. :p I won't make that mistake twice !!!:cuss:

Over the last 30 years I bought a Browning Hi-Power and sold it, bought another and sold it, bought another and am hanging on to it. Same with the Ruger Security-Six in .357.

357 Blackhawk. Had no use or need for it, but looking back, it was one of my really fun to shoot guns. Wish I had it back. Will one day buy another.

Colt gold cup .45 Lou Horton 1 of 500 commander carry special. Paid 250 for it from a relative who needed money. Traded it for a 1500$ left hand custom stainless .375 H&H A-Bolt. Still kicking myself.

Kimber Pro Carry II. I just got hired onto the Sheriff Reserve unit and I needed to buy a GLOCK. So I traded it even up for a new GLOCK and some extras:banghead:
(If I was hired a year earlier I could have grandfathered in w/ that Kimber:cuss: )

Ruger single security 6 357- great gun, paid $128.00 for that thing, perfect condition. forgot what I get rid of it for but I kinda liked that pistola.

Did I mention my Kimber yet?:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

selling my FN Forty-Nine in .40S&W.
While I like the gun, I don't think I'm going to miss it once I have one of the guns from "the list."

I think a trade from a polymer DAO auto to either a Sig P220 or S&W 1076 (maybe a S&W in .45...not sure which yet) will be worth it.

Sold my Remington 597. Can't say I miss it at all, although it was nice having a magfed .22LR that didn't stop feeding from the magazine after ANY fouling made it into the firing pin channel.

(Romanian '69...any of you who have one will know exactly what I mean.)

i kick myself for getting rid of my colt double eagle lightweight blued officer's model. i cannot find another one like it.

i don't miss the cetme i had, nor do i miss the glock 19 i held onto for 2 weeks.

regret: Winchester Pre-64 (pre war) .22Hornet. almost mint.:what:
Like a big dummy I traded it off.:cuss:
Another: Colt 1911(made 1918) mostly original. Traded it for a Python. Boy did I mess up!

Glad to see it go:(one of many) Ruger Model 77 .30-06. Complete P.o.S.
Couldn't get the thing to group at 10 paces much less 100meters.

Most of the guns I have regretted buying were cheap and likely not worth selling.

- Jennings .380 - I hate to call it a POS since it seemed to work reliably, but it had no guard between the slide and my hand. I cut my hand a little when breaking it in. Never shot it again.
- M44 Mosin Nagant - Not a bad buy, but I screwed up and got a scope mount added. Would have been if I had left it alone. Not much more than a bad truck gun.
- Mosin Nagant 1914 make with really long barrel. neat to look at but the barrel is not in the best of shape and it is inaccruate.

I have a few other pistols that I never shoot, but have no particular reason to sell and wouldn't get enough to make it worthwhile to me. A Firestorm .380 and Bersa .380 fit that bill.

I have considered selling my Springfield UltraCompact or my P7M8, but both are good guns and I have no pressing reason to sell.

About 6 years ago I started collecting/owning firearms. I had a small collection of firearms. They included:

Glock 22
Remington 870 12 ga
Bushmaster AR15
Remingon 700bdl in 7mm mag
HiPoint carbine
Llama 1911 variant
Ruger 10/22

When my wife was pregnant with out first kid she had the "guns are bad, they hurt kids" **** fit......I ended up caving and selling my guns. Thats what I regret, caving.

Currently I have the same wife and TWO kids....but somewhere in the last 6 years I located my balls. I now currently own 20+ firearms. They are a "normal" part of daily activity in my house. Nothing to find a shotgun or rifle laying on the kitchen table (rendered safe of course). She even shoots with me occasionaly and wants to go more.

I regret caving........the guns werent anything special.

I had a problem child Colt Combat Commander I bought under the influence of Cooper back in the 80's. It would jam in a couple different ways, but the best was the firing pin retainer dropping down as the slide cycled back. When the slide ran forward, ouch, it stopped short of battery with the pin stop wedged against the frame.

A gunsmith peened it into place and ramped and throated it, still had feeding issues. Traded it for a refinished (Parkerized) Colt 1917. Later in my gun education, I realized that the $5 gun show no-name magazines were probably the culprit.

I wish I still had that Commander, but I still kinda dig the old 1917, so it's OK.

I regret selling several guns, Colt Mustang Pocketlite, 4013, Colt Detective Special and a M13. I got them all back but at a higher price. Steve 48

Sold my Garand a long time ago and finally got a CMP Garand to replace it. Currently in my search for a deep-ccw weapon and looking hard at the Kel-Tec P3AT, wish I had my stainless Colt Gov't .380 back :(

I have only sold a few firearms.

1. S&W mdl 39-2. I am GLAD that it's gone. It was a piece of JUNK.
2. Colt Combat Commander (Series 70). A friend HAD to have it. I kick myself EVERY day for selling it.
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
3. Marlin 1894S (.44 magnum). A friend wanted an 1894S and I kick myself EVERY day for selling it. My friend sold the rifle 6 months after he bought it.:fire:
4. Ruger Speed Six. My former boss (may he R.I.P.) needed a handgun. I sold this one to him. Yeah, I miss it. . . but. . . he truly needed it. No regrets.
5. Remington 700 ADL in '06. It was extremely accurate, but, (at the time) I didn't have anywhere to use it to it's abilities and accuracy potential.
I regret selling it, but, it's since been replaced with a 700 BDL that is more accurate and it's NEVER leaving!
6. T/C .44 magnum barrel. (10" bull barrel.) No regrets. The only accurate load with that fireplace poker was Federal 180 gr. HP. NO regrets.

In spite of my gut telling me there was really no reason to sell the Ruger Mark II I had for many years, away it went. It was such a nuisance to take down and properly clean that it ran dirty must of the time. Now... in fairness... it was cheap to acquire... it ran FLAWLESSLY all the time, dirty or not... and was fun to shoot... and cheap to shoot... and great to introduce novices to guns... but... I do NOT regret selling it. I think I would sell it again for the same reason. Next up to replace it? (You gotta have at least one .22lr auto, right?)... maybe the S&W 22A I have read about here...
