Guns you thought you would never own

Jaytex, get a Marlin 1894c. GREAT guns!

OP, I'll also join the "Never thought I'd own an AR" crowd. I still don't own an AR, but I do want one now. I also thought I'd never own a truly antique gun. Now the proud owner of a 1909 mfr Marlin 1894.

I was in the "never own an AR" club a few years back. Got one in March, and saving for a short barrel and tax stamp right now.

A CZ VZ61 Skorpion. Just a odd random gun. Its surprisingly accurate though and very easy to control since its a .32acp. Follow up shots are fast and tight. Its actually serving as my bump in the night gun now. Yeah its not the largest bullet but i holds 20rds and wont go through multiple walls.

I never dreamed I would own an AR. I fell in love with the SR556 and picked that up. Now I have it and 2 AR10s and will be getting an AR15 in the 458 socom for my next purchase. I have been drawn over to the DARK side.

Winchester Hi Wall .45-70 with Malcom scope.

Load that puppy up with 75gr FFFg, stuff a 500gr Postell bullet in it and "KABOOOM". Hair, teeth, and eyeballs. It really is a hoot to shoot black powder cartridges.

I never thought I would own a 8 3/8" barreled revolver. Ran across this one in a pawn shop at an attractive price.

Purchased it for trading material but the sucker is growin' on me.

a 9mm luger........ like actual luger. i plan to buy one after my deployment.... finally

Yep, I wanted one too, but the ones I found all seemed so beat up and ragged. Then I found one produced in the 1970s by Mauser from the original tooling for the 1929 Swiss model - a NIB Luger that I could actually afford.

I never thought I would come across a IHC (International Harvester) M1 Garand and I got one for 500 about 4 years ago from a friend who died 4 days ago.

I always wanted a select fire Glock

And I am now a FFL/SOT (Class 3 dealer), and the first Post 86 sample I was asked to get for a local law enforcement agency....a select fire Glock

When the M9 replaced the M1911A1, I thought the M9 was ugly looking to spread. I've owned one, and liked it; I want another.
An AK is on my list, but I still can't work up any want for an SKS, despite its good qualities.
Glock--well, "Bang, bang...ho hum". It's like trying to warm up to a brick. At some point I'll probably get a G19, just because...

I remember seeing this in a store when I was a kid, tried to convince my dad to buy it but no such luck. Came a Ross onevata gun auction and took it home with me. Never really thought I'd ever see one again.

I always scoffed at the idea of owning an AR15. Suddenly I feel compelled to buy one, or two, or three. It is now my next buy gun.

My sentiments exactly before I fired one. "They look cool, but I don't need that crap" was always what I figured. Then I shot one, then another. I just had to have one, then another. They are completely practical for numerous reasons, including hunting. Now I own two, one in 556 and another in 50 Beowulf. Love 'em. I see a 6.5 Grendel in my future...

I have a knack for having good deals drop into my lap. My Romanian SKS I got a couple of years ago for $275, when the going rate for a good SKS was well over $300:

The Turkish Mauser for $250:

and the sporterized German Mauser I also picked up for $250, that shoots 1 MOA with the original military barrel:

All three of them were from online gun auctions. The SKS and the German Mauser did not meet their reserve prices. I contacted both sellers post-auction and managed to negotiate a deal. The original reserve on that German Mauser was $350, but he let it go for $250. He got his money, and I got my hunting rifle.
