I'm lazy, and i wanted to get a good quality gunsmith to de-sporterize my saiga shotty. Any recommendations would be appreciated, especially if you have had them do work for you in the past. If this is the wrong forum, please move it mods.

Looking to have the trigger group/trigger/trigger gaurd/grip replaced with US AK parts basically.

Currently pondering turning the gun into a SBS, but leery of the PITA factor if I have to move or want to sell the gun later.

You might try Coles in Clearwater. He is getting kind of old and cranky but does great work. You might run into a waiting period though as I would assume that he is very busy. There are alot of good gunsmiths around the area, hit the yellow pages and call around. You also get a pretty good idea of the persons personality that will be working on your firearm, through your phone conversation. A gunsmith with a crappy attitude doesn't get my business.

Jerry Cole has been cranky for a long time, heh, heh. But he's a hell of a 'smith. He recently gave over the gun selling side of the business to the "Mad Greek", Tas. This is good news, because now Jerry can concentrate on the
'smithing side, and Tas will sell the guns. There are several other good smiths in the area, Jack's over in Tampa, and Knight's Shooting Sports down on US 19 below Ulmetin Road, Accurate Plating, but if you have the time, go with Cole.

Yeah I barely shoot the gun as cheap shotgun ammo is a pain in the ass to get ahold of, and 8 round mags are still impossible to get. So time definitely isnt a big deal. Thanks for the advice guys.
