Hello Everyone,

A friend of mine in another state was telling me earlier today how much he liked his new primary pocket gun...an H&K P2000SK. I have never handled one of these guns and was surprised H&K made some this compact, but my friend is an experienced shooter and has carried handguns concealed much longer than I have and I trust his judgement.

Does anyone on the board carry this model? Thoughts? Impressions?

Does anyone use it as a pocket gun? If yes, how does it work in trouser pockets?

Thanks for the input.

I used to have one. It was a great gun, but it didn't fit too well in my pockets. It's about as big as a Glock 26. Nothing close to the Rohrbaugh.

I wouldn't call it a pocket gun, unless you have really big pockets ... maybe a coat pocket gun. But it would clearly print through jeans pockets.

:eek:He must have some baggy pants and some deep pockets:eek:

If thats his bag, more power to him, but that seems a bit big for my pockets....

Way to big for pockets, but otherwise, the P2000sk is one of the top compacts made and a great CCW. It is one of the few pistols that have no flaws. I love that gun! :D

i couldn't find a fault with the one i had other than thickness , wish i still had it.
they are great little guns , esp in the lem model.

Awesome compact gun but you'd have to have pretty large pockets for this to work. I woud recommend IWB or the back for this gun.

I like the p2000 sk and the way it shoots. But I wouldn't carry it in a pocket. Great gun though, well made and designed.

FWIW:

Here's your "pocket gun":

The HK P2000sk would be it's 9mm "backup" in an iwb holster....:D

But just from what I've read the P2000sk IS an awesome iwb cc choice..

Best Wishes,

Jesse

some people consider what ever they can fit comfortably(for the individual, obviously) as a pocket gun....but the true definition of that,is something else.(like the one above)

when i don't have a more comfortable choice,i sometimes carry a p7m8 with a nemisis in my pocket.i have practised and it works really well but i still don't consider it a pocket pistol.

get an LEM then. The picture seems to have a decocker, leading me to think it's a da/sa ... and HK + DA = "where'd the bullet go?" :D for us noobs

Here's a pic of the LEM stolen from somethin google found

I bought my father one back in december. Its a great gun but not for pocket carry, at least not for me, I have a glock 26 which is similar in size and I don't pocket it.

You might be able to conceal it in your pocket, but presenting the weapon in a SHTF situation will be a challenge.
