We all seem lose things when we move. There have always been things I find years later that I thought I had lost for good. Not that we move that often, we don't. The last place we lived we were there for 20 years. And before that, 12 years.

The treasure I found this time was actually 2 boxes stuffed way back in the corner of a large closet. I was looking for something else when I ran across two longer, narrow boxes standing on end. Kinda heavy, too. I dug all the stuff out and away from these two to see what they were and I found myself staring at the bottom of them. I turned the first one around and it was marked "Shop - Powder & Primers" . Really? Hmmm... Opened it and sure enough, 1 - 8lb jug of IMR 4451, 1 - 8lb jug of IMR4166, 3k Winchester LR primers. So that's where that stuff went! (Last month before getting laid off I replaced the 2 8lb jugs!!!)

Oh, the other box? (Really heavy for size!) A case of .22LR SK Rifle Match less 1 brick! I knew I hadn't lost that but it had been so long since I had seen it I was beginning to think just maybe one of the movers had found a place for it in his personal vehicle.... :scrutiny:

All is well now, :) except for the box of miscellaneous goodies that has, among other things, all my slings and the best of my 3 tripods in it..

I just found a dozen gun boxes, my bore sighter and AA turret priming punches after three years. Also my 1950s Lyman primer pocket reamers.

I was taught not to keep a box of things for over 1 year. Supposed to ope int and see what's inside. Then decide to use it, re-home it, or toss it.
Right.
I have boxes full of radio gear and other things I haven't even looked at in over 21 years.

I wonder how long it will take me to shoot up 16 lbs of 4451 and 16 lbs of 4166? Generally an 8 pounder of IMR 4831 will last 2 years plus a little and I shoot more of that than I do anything else, except possibly IMR 4350.

Man! I have some serious shooting to do!:evil:
I'd definitely say so. Maybe time to get into another cartridge or two while your at it?
