I've managed to find 2000 LPP and 1000 SPP in the past month, and 4 lbs of powder so my summer looks far more positive.

But I still had to overpay, but not so much.

Local shop had Federal 9mm for $19.99/50 actually in stock, but I didn't buy any.

Rural King has ammo, not a lot but they have it. Last weekend I was at BPS and they had ammo available just not a lot as well.

So, came across these at the local Farm & Fleet store. Price wasn't great, around $14 a box for the 20 pack of M193, but there was alot on the shelf. Called my father-in-law and asked if he wanted a couple boxes (limit was 2 boxes) since he's pretty low. The kid working told me as long as I walked outside and came back in each time, I could buy as many as I wanted 2 at a time, haha. I told him I appreciated the info, but I wasn't going to put in that much work at that price and with it not being for me. If they would have had 243, 38 Special, or 357 Mag on the other hand...

I'm starting to see more and more at my local sportsman's warehouse. Cautiously optimistic.

However when mini mags and cci standard comes back down to 10cpr and 7cpr, I will be making a healthy dent in the supply chain.

It's not going down at all in my area. In fact Bass Pro keeps raising their prices. A case of .223 is now $699...it was $469 in January. I still have 100 round boxes of White Box 9mm that I paid $8.99 a box for in 2007, so, these prices are a little hard to choke down. I almost bought a new rifle today then realized the futility of it since I don't really shoot anymore.

It seems to me ammunition, powder and projectiles are coming around while the primer situation has gotten much worse. I used to miss on the primer drops, now I haven't even seen any in a couple or 3 weeks.

I'm still seeing alot of ammo available. This week there have been multiple flats of 12GA #8 coming in, 1400rd Buckets of .22lr, Red Army .223 and 9mm and a bunch of others for pretty low prices. Also Fiocchi .223 and Winchester 9mm.

It all seems to be winding down, at least where I'm at. I've seen some maverick 88's, 500's and 590's coming in alot and selling for $250, $400 and $475. AR's seem to be priced back to somewhat normal. I'm telling you guys, it's all looking much better, maybe you're area is just gonna capitalize on the panic for a bit longer before they have to sit on inventory.

I've noticed online retailers doing much better too, I've seen 00 buck back to about $1/rd in some places.... good luck gentleman.

I can't say prices are coming down per se (NY), but availability is without a doubt increasing. I'm hoping by the end of this year we will see stocked shelves and better prices. I should shut up now and not jinx things...

The availability coming back SHOULD hopefully be a precursor to the prices dropping. The demand spike is most of what caused supply to dwindle and prices to jump, so as demand reduces the prices should slowly drop.

As a positive, a week ago the only 243 I could find online was $2/rd at the cheapest. This week, there's options starting at $1.20/rd. Still elevated, but with 243 coming back like that and it not being SUPER popular compared to 223, 308, etc. I'm hopeful.

Still looking for birdshot for training as well as tactical buckshot. Shotshells are still in titanic demand. The Wal-Mart value packs of 100 bulk birdshot are nowhere to be found. All that’s trickling in is 3” oddball stuff. This is in my neck of the woods. I’d hate to be a skeeter or trap shooter that didn’t reload right now.

Must definitely be regional, birdshot is about the only thing aside from 350 Legend that I've seen pretty consistently.

I think we are starting to see some relief on the prices. Prices are still to high. I have been watching a company selling on GunBroker and the auctions for 500rnds of 9mm and 5.56mm are closing in the mid .50 per round range. Better but still not good.

Yesterday just because I had the time I hit a few local shops to see what I could find. I wanted to see if I could even find primers.

First shop GT Distributor's. Had Blazer 9mm Aluminum case for $15.99 a box of 50. Two box limit for the month. Federal 9mm HST 124grn JHP for $26.99 a box of 50. Same limit. I got my limit on both. They also had some 5.56mm TAP that was about a $1.00 a round. I passed on that.

Second shop was Shoot Point Blank. They had IWI 5.56mm for $28.00 a box of 30. No limit on it and they had shelf's full of it. To rich for my blood so I passed. No 9mm or other pistol calibers for sale on the shelf that I saw but lots of shotgun shells. They did seem to have ammo for most of there rental pistols but I didn't check on the price.

Third stop was Bass Pro. No ammo save a couple of hunting calibers and not one primer.

Last stop was the local Academy Sprots. 2 box limit per day. They had a tone of Winchester 5.56mm at .80ish a round. Saw one box of 380Acp Monarch steel case, someone grabbed it before I could see the price. They also had a bit of 5.45x39, 308Win and a few other calibers. Most of it was steel case ammo.

So while its getting better I think we have a ways to go.
