I ask because 10 days after ordering a rifle I have received no other information other than “order is processing” and today I got a new notification that my order is “delayed.” I understand that everybody is understaffed during these time and that I should be patient but I don’t want to move beyond the point where my bank lets me dispute the transaction.

They're getting hammered like everybody else. Millions of new gunowners are killing every gun outlet and LGS You can expect 2-3 week delay according to the grapevine.

Wow, I knew there was a run on guns but I wasn’t aware it was that bad.

I'm finding it's easier / faster dealing with smaller sellers.
I snagged a used Glock 21 off Gunbroker, last month - no issues with it taking too long to get here.

Figure the big places are swamped (PSA, Aim Surplus, J&G Sales, Classic, etc.).

I've also been stocking up on a few items that I don't want to be short on in case the election doesn't go our way.
Grabbed some more factory Ruger Mini-14 20rd mags from Botach. Took a little longer to ship but no issues.

Some days I regret ever selling my mini14. Ah well. C’est la Vie.

Location, location, location.

They are in one of the most serious covid-19 threat areas in the US and it's amazing that they are still functioning at all.

That’s also a good point! I didn’t take that into consideration. It’s easy to forget that Covid is worse in some areas than others.

I sense a lack of situational awareness. You need to come to THR more often and read the threads. This has been ongoing for a couple of months with no end in sight.

Most of the larger online sellers are running around 10 business days behind if not more.

I picked up a Ruger Charger this week from a small out of the way place that's kind of local to me. I found them on GunBroker. I didn't order through GB because I could get there in about an hour.

They are closed on Sunday and Monday. He told me they had received over 100 orders from GB over the weekend. Since Tuesday is their Monday he also had guns coming in, transfers and stock. He had come in at 0500 Tuesday morning to get stuff shipped and logged in, so he would be ready when they opened the doors at 1300.

You’re probably right, I need to pay more attention and make fewer assumptions.

I emailed Classic and they said it’s ready to ship they just forgot to update me. So that’s good news. Now let’s hope that when it comes in it’s everything I’ve hoped for.

Since this is posted right at the top of their website in a big, impossible-to-miss box, I would say you aren't being the least bit reasonable:

NOTICE: We are experiencing an unprecedented volume of orders, emails, etc. Our team is working hard to ship your orders and reply to emails as fast as possible while complying with recommendations for safety. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Perhaps not. I don’t mind it taking a longer time it’s the lack of even an email communicating “hey, it shipped.”

I’m human afterall. I shall endeavor to be more reasonable.
