Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Update: the "Edit" functions here don't last long.

As for the photo of .308 ammo posted in Remarks# 5726: that Swiss-Made (Saltech) ammo I ordered, and received, was Not produced in a second-world country.
It is Not 'outsourced'....

And yesterday it was the..... Lowest-priced, brass-cased .308..... listed on the search engine "Ammoseek"o_O. I'm still trying to figure this out. Maybe the summer market for .308 gets weak in the hot weather.

:)Would you rather pay the lowest prices and receive authentic Swiss-made , or instead, possibly 'authentic Turkish', Uzbek (or re-manufactured) etc ?

Two more boxes of Precision One .41 Magnum FMJ, a 20-round box of American Eagle .223, and some plastic cartridge cases for the range bag. This gun shop in the western Detroit suburbs has a huge ammo selection. They even have .32 NAA in stock! Probably have 20 or 30 more boxes of the .41 Magnum, in JHP and FMJ, as well as several Hornady JHP 20-round boxes. All the .41 Magnum cheaper than I can buy online not even counting shipping.

I bought an RCBS Pro Chucker 5 to 7 Conversion Kit. I have an RCBS Pro Chucker 5. I got it used for a good price with the idea that I could upgrade to the 7 stage Pro Chucker with the conversion whenever I wanted. Well, it seems RCBS has discontinued the Pro Chucker 5 AND the 5 to 7 conversion kit. So now my choice to upgrade "whenever I wanted" was not a choice. Graf & Sons was down to 1 conversion kit in stock on clearance for $333 after shipping and taxes so I bought one after telling the wife I HAD to - before it was too late. Some items on my "list" got pushed further down the list but I'm looking forward to using 7 stations.

I'd be petrified to take it where I duck hunt! Awesome gun, congrats.
My father was a man who never had much money but he said to me , always buy the best you can afford. The Miruku won't be a safe queen. I have a sidelock double rifle I use for my hunting in all weathers and at the end of the season I steam out the dents in the stock, a good clean and some TLC and it comes up nearly like new. Can't see any point in having a safe queen for somebody else to abuse when I'm dead. I hope I can shoot it as good as it looks. I bought a Heym-Ruger falling block rifle back in the late 70s It was quite a lot of money when I bought it but I had 35 years hunting pleasure out of it and killed a very large amount of deer with it. I gave it to a friend of mine who has many more years hunting left than I have and I hope he gets as many years pleasure out of it as I have had. Also I'm a bit of a gun snob :).

You could say that. Ordered today (my second FAL). The seller has a very well-established evaluation/FAL building background: lives in far western MT near the border with Idaho.
He noted in his ad that he had changed the Locking Shoulder, to allow proper headspace, and tested some ammo for overall proper function.

Aussie L1A1 on Imbel (3) receiver. Most components are Aussie or British.
The purchased rifle has a wooden grip for the carry handle. It's Almost identical with the FAL in This image, both the metal and the wooden furniture ---but is not from Armslist or Gunbroker etc.
It might have a bayonet lug, but the bayonets cost at least $200. That money will go towards more reserve ammo.
