Went to one of those &@#rabblefraz local gun shows yesterday. Had my utility type pocket knife sharpened, found some 1943 made, cupronickel jacketed, somewhat the worse looking for storage .303 British military rounds which are fine for my display of old rifles. Then on the way out (not kidding, intent on leaving) I found a good example P14 rifle with British acceptance stamps. For those who do not know, a P14 is the prior rifle built in the United States for the Brits during the First World War. When the United States entered WW1, 'we' kept making the same rifle, except chambered in .30-06 Springfield and called it the "Rifle, M1917". (The story is a bit more detailed and complicated, look it up.)
