"He put the public safety of Canadians at risk"

Me too. Oh, and if you still shoot photos with film, the emulsion is dispensed in gelatin :) I wonder how many animal rights people use(d) film?

PS thinking:
Canada must be one fragile place if an old man with a .22 pistol endangered the entire country.

Looking at another post here just a minute ago, two .22 pistols had quite an impact on Robert F Kennedy and Ronald Reagan.

Every gun story here reads like that. Our provincial Attorney General's current motto is "no gun no funeral". Never mind knives, bats, everything else that murders 2x more people than guns.

damn, by the title of this I thought some guy tried to steal all the maple syrup or maybe deface a Wayne Gretzky monument. Even that some guy went to Canada and littered crossed my mind.

I live in Canada and would like to get out. I have no problem with Americans taking their pistols in Canada because I hate the laws. I doubt I would ever come back if I moved to the States. The Canadian Government is a joke, every province except quebec has dropped the gun registry which has wasted billions of dollars. The conservatives are allowing the micro stamping which will add $200 to the price of each gun.
I'm an Anti-Canadian Canadian.:)

"An estimated 90% of firearms owners in Canada are in violation of the Firearms Act regulations due to ignorance, negligence, or civil disobedience."
"An anonymous "firearms threat" tip from a personal opponent can lead to an unannounced police raid on your home."

"...hey while he's there, at 65 he should avail himself of any dental and medical care he needs..."

And how long would it have taken him to GET those appointments?

That Canadian judge understands what I've been trying to explain for years: anyone who parks in my assigned space endangers the entire world.

Those people force me to drive my vehicle around while I look for a place to park temporarily. As I do so the vehicle emits deadly exhaust fumes into the atmosphere, which contributes to poisoning the environment. People with respiratory problems are further burdened and any of them can die on the spot. Food animals breathe the same poisoned air. The toxins that gets into their bloodstream as a result of those emissions contaminates the food supply throughout the world, causing disease and even death in cute little kids. Trees in Canada, starved of necessary oxygen, could fall over.

The fuel consumed as I look for that temporary spot is wasted, depleting the world's supply of a vital non-renewable resource for no reason at all. Gasoline prices rise as demand increases, which puts third world countries still further behind and increases OPEC's stranglehold on global economy. As the resulting political tensions rise, entire nations tremble and go to war. Thousands of innocents die.

The damage increases. I have to open the door to my building, which allows the air conditioning to escape in summer and the heat to escape in winter. Not only is there further waste of energy but also Earth's climate is subtly altered. Glaciers melt faster, pouring additional water into the oceans and creating tidal waves that erode beaches and overwhelm surfers. People on cruise ships rush to the rails or to their rooms so they can spew forth their partly digested meals. The water is polluted and fish die or are contaminated.

Then I must find the head of Security to ticket the misparked car or have it towed. The entire building is left unprotected against possible incursion by an active shooter. Insurance premiums rise, families mourn, children are made parentless and are warped forever. Those children might otherwise have become the medical researchers who cure AIDS, Cancer, and many other causes of mankind's fatalities.

The awful consequences of parking in my assigned space are limitless. They adversely affect the entire world. Any Canadian judge who does it deserves life imprisonment without possibility of parole. And if I can find a U.S. judge and a U.S. jury with as little sense of proportion as that Canadian judge, it just might happen. We can save the world.

It for sure would send a message to Canadians that we don't tolerate their criminal behavior in this country. Let them keep their parking in their own country.

putting the safety of Canadians at risk would be a bunch of crazy Americans along the border firing wildly into the air towards Canada and having a bunch of lead raining down upon the Canadians.

I don't see how having a .22 pistol that's already legal to own in Canada puts them at risk...oh wait...forgot about the mentality some some people...no different than them down here.
