I've had an itch to shoot my rifle lately. It's a Traditions Frontier Gander I built from a kit back in 1995. The reason I got it was partially due to the fact it was a kit, and partially due to the kit coming with two interchangeable barrels ... one .50 caliber, and one .36 caliber.

My problem is finding accessories for .36 caliber. The rifle came with one ramrod (solid aluminum, .27 diameter), and the loading tips are "goofy". Basically, the looked (yep, past tense) like a solid same diameter as the rod, with a flare at the end, kind of like a trumpet.

I went and modified the ramrod (had a strange metric-threaded stud on one end) by removing the stud, and drilling/tapping (on a lathe) a #10-32 hole. I'm thinking I should have drilled and tapped it #8-32, but that's another story. I had to re-drill and tap the aluminum loading tips to #10-32. The .50 caliber tip was no problem, but the .36 caliber tip now has issues.

What I need is a nice, brass, .36 caliber loading tip/cleaning jag. I can't even find a .36 caliber cleaning jag in #8-32 thread. Does anyone out there have a .36 caliber jag/loading tip that they could measure for me? I have a chunk of 3/8 diameter x 1.0 inch long brass, and access to a Grizzly Mini-Lathe, so I can make one (or have on made). I can also whip up a rough drawing if need be.

Thanks Guys ...

What format would you prefer? I have whipped up a multiview drawing in Pro/ENGINEER, and can export it to pdf, jpg, tiff, dxf, iges to name a few. Do you have any preference?

Unfortunately, here at work, the powers that be limit access to certain websites (i.e. "ACCESS DENIED"). Yours happens to be one of them. I still, for the life of me, cannot figure out why I am able to get to THR ... but, that could change any day.
