A quality AR-15 is not "fragile," will not "break easily" and is quite capable of running reliably when dirty. Reference the "Filthy 14" test.
I seriously recommend everyone checking this out. If you had any doubts about BCM, I'm sure this will make them pass. I got a little mini catalog with the "Filthy 14" test in it from BCM when I ordered one of their charging handles. Amazing stuff.

You know a lot of things that simply aren't true.

+1 It seems as though the OP specifically went to look for the worst case failure reports for any of these weapons, and decided that the "worst case" scenarios were applicable to 100% of that given model, which is simply laughable. If you look hard enough, you can find reports of just about every gun fails to some degree at some point. That hardly means each example of that model of gun is likely to fail in a similar manner. At some point, you've got to become a critical enough of a reader to sort out the facts from people's opinions. It sounds as though you've read a healthy dose of opinions about the rifles in question, but glossed over the factual information as to their real-world performance, seemingly. Anyone who still believes the AR-15 a system that only works when clean and under ideal circumstances just hasn't bothered to do any research, as there is a ton of information proving that to be an erroneous assumption in just about every way.

The OP has been online several times today since he posted this, and he hasn't had the courtesy to respond the replies given. It appears this thread has been abandoned.
