Running & gunning with an AK sounds fun. I watched a little video clip on You Tube, there's this guy named Gabe Suarez who trains people to fight with them. It seems that's his weapon of choice. Are you thinking an AK chambered in 5.56? Yeah, get what makes you smile & chuckle every time you bring it out & shoot it. Have fun!

If you don't need anything, and you don't even know what you want, I would suggest you save or invest until you, yourself, can figure it out. It'll be worth a lot more when you need it one day.

Why anyone would think that what other people say you need to add to your collection would make you happy is beyond me.

Classic pistol! Once you own one, you won't want to every get rid of it.

Kimber Pro Carry II! I voted Browning. When I finally get my permit, my second gun will probably be a 1911.

Few people are ever sorry they bought a Browning Hi Power, especially a real FN/Browning.

I've had one since the late '80s and carry it frequently. It's reliable and accurate.

Thanks for the help with my decision.

I put down a grand on the Valor in SS today.

The Valor won out because I really do like .45's more. That said, the BHP will likely be my next purchase.

I appreciate all the input on the other choices. Though the Valor didn't win the poll it made me realize how much I wanted it.

AK's don't shoot tight groups. The 5.56 is not destructive enough with most standard ammo. 9mm is for the recoil-sensitive, women or children.

I own 3 Glocks and never saw a need for a 1911, until I made beer cans jump @ 50 yds.

If you could'nt make beer cans "jump @ 50 yds" with a glock you were not doing it right.

SIG 556 bought one in 07 and never shot my AR again, great on a sandbag with a 20 rd mag. I shoot smilie faces in a 1'' circle at 100yds with a Leopold scope, with a 2moa red dot a 3". too much fun and relatively cheap to shoot. Stays way cooler and cleaner than the safe queen AR.
