I don't mind wear marks if it's from me. And I think it adds character. If it wears evenly/consistently, then I like it better than new... I don't feel like I have to be as careful.

Non-rail P220

Definitely check out a regular non-rail P220. It's a very popular gun for a reason.

The beavertail doesn't serve any function, and non-rail sigs are lighter and feel better in the hand than railed versions.

I aagree about the beavertail being entirely functionless. However, I like a rail on my gun, especially if I don't have a dedicated "nightstand" gun. I carry a Ruger LC9, but have a streamlight equipted Glock 19 for the things that go bump in the night.

For the same MSRP you could go with the BEST option...

Not a fan of the coloration, and no SRT.

Beavertail is comfortable, and looks good. Also, I intend to mount a light at some point. And "feels better in the hand" is subjective... I like the feel of the Elites.

I voted Stainless. Dude, in a year from now, you ain't gonna care that it was $100 more. Get the one you REALLY want, not the one that is a couple bucks cheaper.

It is a classic that you can have for the rest of your life.

Price difference isn't an issue. Especially with the amount of money total. I just can't pick which I REALLY want yet haha.

I own the P220 Dark

I love this gun. I removed the aluminum grips and replaced them with Houge wrap around rubber grips. This gun is a pleasure to shoot and extremely accurate.

I just bought a new Sig P220 myself today. I went with the bare base alloy frame, nitron slide, DASA version with night sights. Cant wait till my dealer calls!:) Them fancier models are nice, but dont care for the beaver tails myself.
