There's some good suggestions already. I'll go a different direction.
Pistol caliber carbines. You said you can load 5 in pistol calibers.
You said you were looking at a lever action. Look at a Henry in .357 or a Rossi in 454. Both pistol calibers.
Or an AR in 9mm or .45 maybe?
