Help me spend $1500

Zenith MP5 / MP5K. It's closer to $1,650 but have been getting excellent reviews.

Silencershop is also "guaranteeing" if you order something of theirs in stock and get them your Trust paperwork by July 8 or so, they will get your stuff in before 41F takes affect (they can actually file the form 4 on behalf of the dealer in their network). So could be time to grab a nice suppressor.

I'm already an FFL dealer, so I can pay the SOT and get suppressors at cost if I want to go the suppressor route.

Might help if you discuss what guns you already have and what you are hoping to accomplish. (night hunting, hunting <what?>, long distance shooting, home defense, tactical training, truck gun, investment - appreciation in value etc)

If you are actually set for guns I would recommend a suppressor or a thermal/night scope instead if you can hunt at night in your area.

Olympus;

Would it be possible for you to obtain a Lahti 20mm rifle? Probably not within the remaining budget though. Forget I mentioned it. Bet it's hard to find a press & dies for too.

Nah, I'll pass on that one. Still thinking about the CZ 550FS. I just don't have a scope for it, so that's another thing I'd have to buy for it.

That CZ 550FS is such a looker and such a perfect setup in 6.5 Swede I would have a very hard time resisting the urge to get one.

I'm still on the fence. For about half the price, I can get a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor and I already have a scope that would work great for that gun. Just can't decide.

The 527 Hornet is being delivered today!

If it were me, I'd have to think seriously about a nice 6.5 Grendel upper and a decent scope.
I'm not opposed to that, but the Grendel barrels and bolts confuse me with all the slightly different specs.

Well dang it, I went ahead and and ordered the 550FS in 6.5x55. I looked at all my distributors and only one carried the 550FS and this one distributor only had one left in 6.5x55 so I took that as my sign and snatched it up.

Local gun store has fully camoed US Marine Remington bolt action sniper rifle in .308 with bipod and tactical Leupold scope. The scope alone is worth $800. It is a sight to behold. Looks like something out of a Hathcock movies. (maybe it is)

Price = $1,500.

Not that you'd be interested but your price point triggered my memory....

If you are open to levers, I am seriously wanting a Marlin 1895 .45/70 GBL. With the leftover $900 cash I would add a nice Skinner receiver sight, high-end leather scabbard and ammo side-saddle, and some reloading dies.

Olympus;

What's the O.D. dimension of the objective bell on those two scopes, the Zeiss & the Vortex?

I've got the Zeiss 3.5-10X 44mm Conquest mil-dot on my Swede & have zero plans to move it. Mine's a hunting gun & I find not having to fool with an A/O is better than a higher X factor. I also find I'm far more comfortable in more conditions with a standard mil-dot than I am with BDC type reticles. Now my son has a Vortex PST Viper 4-16X 50mm on his fullstock & it has the EBR-1 reticle. Both scopes work, but I think his looks ungainly large on the gun.

A nice Marlin or Winchester in .44 mag - they are a lot of fun to shoot (I just like the old style personally).

If you want to invest and looking at the likely results of the next election, get 40+ AR15/AR10 lower receivers and after the election, sell them and retire :-(

My Zeiss Terra is a 3-9×42. I mounted it on the 527 tonight using the factory rings. The rings are too high for the objective but perfect for the ocular bell. Any lower and I'm afraid the bolt will hit.

I may end up using the Zeiss on the 550FS when it comes in. The Vortex Viper will definitely clash with that style of rifle. I'll just need to get some medium height rings for the 527 and find a scope with a smaller diameter ocular lense.

The 527 looks and feels amazing! The stock has some very nice grain to it also. Trigger is fantastic, 3lbs normal and a hair over 1lb in set mode. I'm hoping it shoots as good as it looks.

Way to go with the Swede and congrats on getting two great rifles! Some photos if you please of the new Hornet and of course the Swede when it comes in.

I'll try to get some taken soon. I think I'm going to get Burris medium rings for both guns. The factory CZ rings are 0.555" and the Burris are 0.500". That will give me an almost 1.5mm drop. I've read that I can go with the Warne medium rings at 0.425, but I would have to modify the bolt handle and that's just more expense than I want to pay. So I'll stick with the Burris medium rings and the objective on my Zeiss is 42mm, so hopefully that will be enough to fill that unsightly gap under the objective bell.

I'll probably stick the 3-9×42 Zeiss on the 550FS when it comes in and I will order another Zeiss in 4-12×42 for the 22 Hornet. I think the added magnification will be better suited on the Hornet as opposed to the 6.5.

Olympus;

I agree with your scope choice for the Swede, and can't really argue with the idea of getting another for the 527, but wouldn't the existing Vortex work there as well? Also, I do believe that Talley makes some nice rings for those guns. The nice thing about Talley is that you can call them directly, tell them the gun & scope, & they'll suggest the rings. They've got a pretty good record for knowin' what they're talkin' about.

The Vortex Viper I have is a 6.5-20×44 scope with a target dot reticle. It's more of a "tactical" looking scope. I'm afraid it will look goofy on a classic walnut sporter rifle.

I was saving it for sone kind of long range rifle at some point.

CZ Scorpion Evo 3 Pistol ($750) + SBR/922 kit ($200). I have shot one a couple times, and it is pretty nice.

Seems to be in line with your tastes, and comes out much cheaper than the Kriss for a quality gun.
This would be my choice, given your original post.

Had one and didn't care for it.

I ended up buying the CZ 527 in 22 Hornet and a couple members talked me into using the rest of the money to buy a CZ 550FS in 6.5x55.
