Help Please, Lee 4 hole turret storage?????

I just stepped up a notch, to a Lee Classic turret press. So far so good. Looking for a way to store the turrets. The depriming pin, so precariously extruding, seems like an accident waiting to happen.
How do you folks store the turrets you are not using? Thanks Rick

re depriming pin: Loosen the top nut a little and push the pin in flush with the die until ready to use it, then reverse the process.

You could make some holders using a very short section of 3" PVC pipe for a base, or drill a 3" hole into a wood block for each turret. If you want something more elegant, go down to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a small wall hung cabinet and check Leeprecision.com for the "die holder" attachment for their new press stand. It is a metal shelf that you could screw into the cabinet that holds 3 turrets. You could get as many as you need and mount them in as big a cabinet as you need.

I simply set the turret--dies installed--on top of the base of a plastic 3-die round Lee box. The top can be set back on the base. Then, those are set on a shallow shelf across the back of my bench.

You should watch out for ambient moisture as well, those die rust very quickly...

I store the whole turret in tupperware container--you may need to remove the decapping rod if it is too long for the container.
Long storage: spray the whole unit with Barricade rust stopper--make sure that the top is on tight to stop any air entering container.

Or, you could build something out of scrap lumber.





Only problem with this is,,, it's now filled up to overflowing, so I have to make another one!

I used a blank turret to mark the four holes, then used a spade type wood drill in a drill press. BTW, you DO need four holes, for those 4 die sets the classic turret makes such good use of!

They won't bend by their own weight, just set them on a shelf.

As was posted earlier, the round die containers are made to store the turrets. I think I read that in Lees book.

New Lee die sets come in flat rectangle box. Round containers are available for $3.79 at MidwayUSA - great for storing 3-4 hole turrets.

I use coffee cans with a few inches of foam at the bottom.

I also use the round plastic Lee cases to store my dies on turrets. It's easy and it keeps the clean.

Pistol die turrets in the red round Lee die boxes they came in, rifle die turrets (bought RGB's in the flat box) stuck in a Rubbermaid plastic tub with some foam on the bottom.

I went to a "Dollar " store a dngot tall plastic containers with screw on lid-2 for a $1- and put styrafoam discs in the bottom. The work great and are cheap.
