Getting ready to put my springfield 1911 on the market.Maybe you guys can give mea good value of what this gun is worth. Got severl aftermarket parts on it. got a brand new teflon coating on it that will run you a few $$$ hundred bucks on average. Bought a brand new wilscon combat clip and got a safari Land holster. NM serial number.

$700 range? Also, I think you mean "Wilson Combat magazine".

Unfortunately, having a new finish or some aftermarket parts doesn't really increase the value a lot - unless you find the right buyer. Kind of like new paint on a house; it'll sell quicker, but not increase the value.

I bought a used Springfield Loaded parkerized finish off a guy in desperate need of money for $300 dollars. Now I got the gun, an OWB holster (leather) and a single 7 round magazine. He had the gun since buying it new in 2004 and had only fired 100 rounds through it. I shot another 250 rounds through it after buying it and picked up a few more magazines. I sold it recently to buy another gun for $700 and Bud's offered me $600 for it. It was a really nice gun however I had no use for a full size 1911 as I carry a RIA/Armscor 1911 CS (compact) daily. I don't keep guns I don't shoot often.

Did what I could, mainly cuz it's Saturday. I'm getting $650 round my parts, but that's subject to change based on demand, resale value (which is ridiculous) and supply.

Wow has it. Wherever this thread goes, 650-700 for value.

The old rule of thumb was that a used gun in LNIB condition will retail for 80% of the original retail price. The actual value goes down from that number depending on condition, loval demand, etc.

Also, unless you have documentation and an itemized invoice from a well-known 'smith for the work that was done, the "upgrades" actually hurt the resale value of the gun. Some folks, myself included, will generally avoid "project" guns.

^Not me, so long as I inspect and agree that what ever parts were installed in anyway enhance performance and have been done properly. If someone cosmetically alters a weapon, I usually run though.

1911's are getting high prices in FL, especially, Colt, and Springers. But $700 sounds right unless it's a loaded or one of the high end guns. A TRP is still getting a Grand or more
