Just resently purchased the mossberg 30-06 ATR 100 rifle, and i had an old 30-06 shell(alredy been shot) i wanted to mess around with in the gun, so i put it in, and about half way into pushing the bolt in and down it stopped so i poped it back up and a tiny piece broke off the bolt, the reloaded shell is stuck in the barrel and i heard getting it out with a wooden dowl works good, but how much will a new bolt cost?

thanks

i had to hit tap the bolt up with my pom a little to get the bolt to come out, yes it was NIB

yeah i know its a 30-06 i think it was my fault because i alredy loaded the reloaded bullet in once, and i tried it again and the second time it got stuck

im not sure but..... it was a tiny piece when it brok a little ball barring fell out it had a spring that stayed in and it looked like this tiny piece of medal was all that broke and it looks like this little piece of medal hold the ball of the spring and can be slid back in

Sounds like the ejector to me. I wouldn't buy a new bolt, I would get the thing repaired under warranty. You may be able to return just the bolt, which would be much cheaper shipping-wise. In any case, the problem isn't yours, regardless of using a spent case.

yeahjust got the bullet out of the berraol and it had markings all over the back of the bolt where it looked like it was trying to grab ahold of it. The little ball (looked like its out of a ball bearing) was filled with oil.
