Hi and thanks for a good forum.

I was hoping that some of you guys could help me out.
I have bought a shotdipper and a lee load all to get started out.
I am planning to make som 1-1/8 oz fast field loads for hunting.

I was planning to buy Hodgon longshot.

The big problem is that I need wads.
The only shop in Norway that has wads, only has a few.
Looking at the reloading data the WAA12 is the most used wad with 1500ft/sec loads with Longshot.
The store here has the following wads:
kal 12

Claybuster (WAA12F114) CB1114B wad 12ga 1,25 - 1 3/8oz Claybuster ( WAA12F114 )
Winchester ( WAA12SLB ) WWAA12SLB wad 12ga 1-1 1/8oz Pink
Remington R12L RMR12LB wad 12ga 1oz
BPI VP65 BPI222VP65 wad 12ga 1-1 1/8oz PT1265 Steel
BPI VP10 BPI222VP10 wad 12ga 1-1 1/8oz PT1210 Lead
BPI VP13 BPI222VP13 wad 12ga 1-1 1/8oz PT1232 Lead
BPI VP20 BPI222VP20 wad 12ga 1-1 1/4oz VP20 Lead

I was looking at the Claybuster WAA12F114 wad, can this replace the WAA12 wad?
Does anyone have any data for longshot and this wad?

I have free access to one shot gun club shells

Searching around, some say that this wad can be used as a replacement, but I don't know.
The only loads I find with the WAA12F114 wad is really slow ones in the 11-1200ft mark.

Greetings from Norway

The F114 wads are designed for 1 1/4 oz. loads in AA hulls so would be too short for your 1 1/8 oz. loads. I am not familiar with the BPI wads but do know that their website is very complete on wad interchanges.

12 ga., 2 3/4", remington sts, or nitro 27, or gun club plastic shells

Data for Remington R12L RMR12LB wad 12ga 1oz

Just change your load to 1-1/4 oz.. If you can't find a 1-1/4 oz. recipe for those components with Longshot, let me know I'm sure I have one, LS has been one of my favorite powders for most all my hunting loads for a number of years.

I load with it for everything from 1-5/8 oz. pheasant loads, to 1-1/8 oz. dove and quail loads. It really gets them out there quick, hurts like heck to shoot, but hey it's Longshot.
