I have, since announced, wanted a 327 lever gun. Finally found one about 9 months ago. With all of life’s happenings I didn’t get to shoot it until this week. Boy was I disappointed.
I went to a local outdoor range with the Henry and a few revolvers. I set some targets at 25 yds and had a good time with the revolvers. A 2 or 3 year itch was about scratched.
I still had a couple of clear targets up so I decided to see where the sights were at 25. I couldn’t see where the first shot hit so I squeezed off another. Wasn’t able to see it either so I figured it must be in the black area of the target. After walking out to the target I realized no shots were even on paper.
I use a home made 8x11 target. After moving up to 7 yards one shot finally clipped the far right side of the paper.
Long story short I have drifted the rear sight as far as I can trying to zero and just am on the target at 25 yards. POI still needs to go left 4 inches at 25 but I can’t drift the sight any more with out it falling out.
I guess my question is “ How’s Henry’s customer service”. I have never had to send a firearm back to for repairs. I have heard Ruger does and outstanding job with CS. Just wondering if Henry’s is as good.
