So I was browsing the web the other day looking for some form of an excuse to purchase a .22mag. I think I may have found just that excuse in the Henry .22mag lever gun. It would fill the hole in my collection between the .22lr and the .223, and it would add a lever gun to my collection (I dont currently have one).

Now my question is does anybody have one? Even shot one? What did you think? Pros and cons of this gun? General input?

Hello, I just did some trading for a Henry .22 in the LR. SWEET little firearm. Very smooth, and seems like it will be very dependable. I have only about 50 rds. through it so far but I just got it last Fri. As far as the .22 mag goes, I bet you couldnt go wrong. Probably going to be about the same as mine only with a bit more omfff! And if it is, it would be even SWEETER!!! Good luck.

I love mine. I got it shortly after I got one of their .22lr's. It compliments my Colt scout in .22LR/.22Mag. The mag is more accurate than the Henry .22LR, in my collection. My cousins .22LR is as accurate as my .22Mag, so it's probably luck of the draw thing going on with the variances. You can also order personalized receiver covers from their website, to make it unique to you. I like them so much, I will buy the .17 sometime in the summer. Great plinker.

It's a value gun, it's cheap and gives value for money. But I would choose a 9422M every day, whole 'nother league IMHO. Could probably find a used one.

Or you could perform an experiment for me and get an Uberti(or Cimarron where you are maybe) 1866 Yellowboy in .22WMR, see how it shoots.
