Like many others: 2400, H110. For less than top end loads: Unique or Power Pistol.

When I started reloading, back in the bronze age, 1970, it was, Bullseye for .38spl, Unique for .45acp, & 2400 for magnums. Life was simpler back then.

One thing harder to find right now than primers and powder? .44 magnum brass.
from 2 weekends ago, was just browsing, don’t need anything.

they even had magnum PP, limited to 200pc/ per day. It’s available, these shop are also holding back inventory and putting limits, so gougers don’t buy it all.

.....but did they have .44 mag brass? I too have found powder and primers, both by chance and when looking hard. I have yet to find .44 mag brass anywhere except for one place with supposedly "once fired" and they want over $100 for 200 pieces. Don't need any, just one of those things that make you go "hmmmm".

they had retail packages of it.

I can get 1 fired brass for free ... cleaned and sized. I just need to gun

I have Lil Gun and use it for my 22 Hornet. One pound of that is like a keg of 3031 used in 223. Goes a long way. Between the forcing cone erosion and flame cutting of the backstrap I decided not to use it in revolvers unless thats all I have left. YMMV

HS6 Accurate, burns relatively clean, and at/near the top of speed.

Did I mention that works the same in 9, 38, 357, 40, 44, & 45 acp? ONE powder for all of your pistola calibers. :)

Suggestion, buck460XVR: I got on a "notify me" list on Cabela's and got some 44RM Win brass last November. Some say the Win brass is inferior in the 44RM, but I've had no issues with it whatsoever, and I like to load up my ammo extra spicy. I got some brass for another caliber by using the "notify me" list on Midway. It works, but you gotta move quickly when you get notified.

....as I said in my previous post,

I actually have a few thousand pieces of .44 mag brass. If it wasn't for my oldest son jackin' his empties outta his lever action Winchester .44 without any concern, whether it be huntin' or just target shootin', I would never run out in this lifetime. It's just that over the last few months of watching for components to come back, I spend time checkin' for dealsonline and it seems .44 mag brass is made out of unobtainium. Just bought 1000 pieces of SP Federal .45ACP for a great price($50 a thousand) for the same reason. Me and the youngest son tend to put down tarps and/or painters cloths to catch most of our brass from our 1911s, not the oldest. He hasta run around playing tactical and doesn't see a need to move the ground covers to help his old man out. So, at a nickel a piece, not much more than the primer that goes in it, the SP brass will be his range fodder.;)

Since it didn't get above zero all weekend I spent a lot of time in the reloading room prepin' brass for nicer weather to come. Found a lot of stuff I forgot I bought/had. Musta came across a deal on PMC .45ACP, cause I found 1000 in an unopened Flat Rate shipping box, a brand new Frankford Arsenal powder measure still in the box and a few thousand bullets of various calibers still in unopened boxes. Guess that's what happens when you buy components/tools when you see 'em on sale for a good price, instead of waiting for when you really need them. In times like these it's a good thing to find you got more than you thought and you thought you had plenty.

But thanks for the info and the suggestion.
