Hey Rondog, I fondly remember going into the Western Auto store at age 9 back in 1961 and paying $0.29 for a box of 22 shorts. We plinked and hunted squirrels with them. Funny they never asked me why a 9 year old needed ammo. I can assure you guys, life was indeed much better back then. I would go back in a heartbeat, but this time I will find the money to buy Garands for $79.95 and new M1-carbines for $59.95.
