These are some really neat ideas.

I just have a safe burried in the back of a closet, but to get to it, a criminal has to walk past a couple of easily pawned ThinkPad computers. I figure an opportunist is going to grab the computers and go rather than sticking around to search through all the clutter in the closets and then I can check out the local pawn shops and get the computers back in a few days.

I am a fan of hiding in plain sight especially for home a few defense guns.

Here is a safe idea, probably about as secure as most inexpensive big box store "safes"

Having built reinforcements for vending machines just because people pop them open for quarters, no way I would store something valuable in them.

I’d put them in an old port-a-john out back with some poop on the handle first.
