My thing is guns and the wife’s is horses – You can add up all the firearms that I have bought and sold, currently own and will buy in the future and it does not even come close to the cost of horses…

Because of that I do not need permission to buy a firearm every so often. So my wife does not know that I am currently building my first AR-15 with all the Xmas boxes arriving in the mail… :D

Tonight I am sitting at my desk which has a full AR-15 magazine sitting on top of a box of 223 ammo – the wife asks if I plan on buying any new guns soon??? Oh *&^* I’m busted… Why I ask with that stupid “I didn't’ do it” expression on my face????

Well she says, I was at friend X’s ranch and they let me shoot their AR-15 and I want one too! You have to get one now before you can't!

Keeping a straight face I answer – Of course dear I would be happy to get one just for you…

She still doesn't know I am building one – they are all look the same, right?

To quote the movie "True Lies"...

"Ballsy, stupid but ballsy..."

May your significant other be understanding longer than mine as. She doesn't tolerate much with firearms anymore.

Oh how I wish I remember where I read it....there is a "rule of four" when it concerns the wife....something along the lines of "after you get four guns, she just sees a full safe and doesn't remark on individual guns". My wife is slowly coming around.....did I say slowly? Lol

I bring a new one in the house and she says she remembers when I bought that one, several months or years prior. I guess they all look the same to her :)

i get the
" this better be the last _____ one of these things!"

and the she goes and steals my _______ new smith m&p 9!!!!!!

women have far to much power.

Mine doesn't really care what I buy, but every once in a while I get that "Oh, another gun" look back from her. She's not a real "gun person" and doesn't understand why I need more than one pistol, revolver, shotgun, etc. After all, I already have one pistol, right?

I have a magical reproducing gun safe. I place a gun on both sides of an empty slot, close the door and in a few months they magically reproduce in the dark, quiet environment I have given them. Next thing I know the slot is filled. Reloading equipment is also capable of reproduction.

Note: Gestation times vary.

My gun safe is like dbldown's safe. Actually Kathy has no real clue what I have in there beyond her one gun. Large revolvers for example all look the same to her. Overall she is good with whatever I want.
