I was flipping through the t.v. stations. I think it was cnn or one of those 24 hour news stations that I usualy never watch.

The News anchor or whatever you want to call them was Nancy Grace. She was talking about a convicted felon who was out on bond, had killed a sheriffs deputy.(I didnt catch where this happened or why or how). After she talked somemore about it. She said when she goes home, "she going to be hiding under her bed with a shotgun."

I was just wondering if anyone else here also watched this? I thought it was shocking to see a cnn news person say something like that.

Honestly, I cannot stand Nancy Grace.

From what of her I have seen, I really hope that those on-the-fence on 2A don't think she represents the average firearms owner.

It is considerably difficult to achieve proper hit placement on much anything above the ankle from the UTB prone position. She might want to rethink and modify her defense strategy to increase her level of safety.

+2. Just give me the news. I can watch Jerry Springer if I want garbage drama
who's the daddy news.

Yeah, but can you imagine getting hit in the ankle with a shotgun blast at bedroom distance? I think that would be pretty much game-over for all but the most crazed home invader.
And just imagine the follow up shot.

I don't think I've ever seen anything more than a glancing blow from her program, and I would probably share the negative opinions expressed here if I had, but I think it's important to note that she just acknowledged a need to take personal responsibility for her own protection. I think that's more important here than expressing a dislike for her.

I think you all may have it wrong.
Nancy Grace had a segment not long ago which featured her handling a shotgun very proficiently. The rest of the CNN types in the studio were gawking wide-eyed ! I don't know her politics or position on the Second Amendment, but she does know how to wield a shotgun.

I would like to see the shotgun video.

On one hand I am surprised. On the other, I am not.
Either way, I think she is vindictive and flat out rude. Sheriff Joe let her have it one time with one slick comment that upset her so bad she pretended he wasn't there.

GRACE: Sheriff, are these female inmates behind you? Because they don`t look to me like they`re roughing it. They look pretty happy to me. They look like models.

ARPAIO: You say I`m not happy?

GRACE: No. Are those inmates behind you?

ARPAIO: Oh, they`re not happy?

GRACE: Are those inmates behind you?

ARPAIO: Yes. What about it? Are they happy or not happy?

GRACE: [sarcastic Nancy voice] Well, aren`t they supposed to be in jail?[/sarcastic Nancy voice]

ARPAIO: [angry Joe voice]They are in jail. They`re in the Tent jail. It`s 100 degrees here.[/angry Joe voice]

GRACE: OK...

Nancy Grace is a square and unreliable journalist, sure, but I think Sheriff Arpaio was being kind of smug, too.

I don't like Nancy Grace as a journalist either, nor for that fact neither do I care for any of the Fox news journalists. It's more the Fox approach as to try to get two opposing parties to argue then cut them off when the journalist supposidly has made his point.

That said, Nancy Grace is from Macon,Ga. Went to Mercer University Law school there and has had a fiance murdered. That said, she is from a generally pro gun area and odds are was exposed to firearms as a child as there are a lot of hunters/ shooters in the area.
