High quality bulk 9mm FMJ?

I don't suppose you know of a reputable retailer that currently has a decent price on (in stock) Lawman of the 124gr variety?

I've fired about a case worth of the Lawman 124 through a G17 in the past and it was pretty darn good. I would have had a hell of a time deciding which one to buy a case of today if not for the fact that I couldn't find well priced 124 Lawman (I went with the RWS Geco). But as soon as I pony up for another case, if I can find Lawman 124 for, say $260 or less per 1k (shipped), it shall be mine

.27¢ a round before shipping.
You can pass the savings on to me :D

I've used new Freedom ammo and like it. They list the stats on their 9mm. I have 5 boxes of the 124 JHP coming. Been using 115 and 124 FMJ.

Grain Type Velocity Energy
115 FMJ 1150 340

115 JHP 1150 340

124 FMJ 1120 345

124 JHP 1120 345

147 FMJ 990 320

147 JHP 985 320

Warp,

If you haven’t done so sign up for email offers from SG Ammo, AIM Surplus, Natchez and other companies. I am getting multiple emails a week with sale prices on ammunition at below pre-Banic prices. I expect the prices to continue to go even lower next year.

I get emails from SGAmmo and AIM, and I used to get them from Natchez but they won't deal with people GA (or TN or AL, IIRC). Won't ship here won't bill here (sales tax purposes). I used to order from them when I lived in IN.

Prices may continue to creep down for a little while, they aren't to mid/late 2010-early 2011 levels yet (going by memory and boards posts I see when I Google stuff).

If only we could get pre-O prices. Inflation will keep that from happening though. I mean, 2007 you could get 100 WWB 9mm at Walmart for $10.34. And then in spring 2009 I got 50 round boxes of Al case Blazer for $5.69.

I'll be satisfied if we can get down to the generic economical brass 115gr 9mm (Blazer Brass, WWB, Rem/UMC, Federal 100 round red/black boxes) for $20/100 as the regular going price.

I'll second those who tout Freedom Munitions. Good ammo; good prices ; good folks. I've been shooting a bunch of it now for some time and can't find anything to beat them. Freedommunitions.com

If you reload be aware that their brass has an internal rim. Their reman stuff will of course have mixed brass. Right now they are selling 9mm
115 gr. RN New Box of 500 for $96.26. Pretty hard to beat that price.

I have shot about 1000 rounds of their new 124 gr and had no issues but I think it is under powered compared to RWS, IMI and Fiocchi. I don't have a chrono so I cannot say for sure but I think it is less than posted. Still not bad pricing but for a little bit more I would stick with RWS or Fiocchi.

Thanks again for all the input guys. I have the case of RWS ordered and processed, and I got my car back from the shop with a very favorable bill today so I'll be making another order or two tonight. I just can't make up my mind, so many choices. As a first timer at freedom munitions I can even get free shipping apparently which makes it the same price as the best I can find for steel case Wolf.

S+B has sealed primers and bullets if it matters to you. I happen to like thier brass, other hate it.

Generally loaded on the warm-hot side of non +P 9mm

I was looking at the S&B that SGAmmo has in stock but the description said the stock varied and may or may not have sealed primers. Also it was 115gr and I ended up deciding that I really wanted a warm/hot 124gr (that's clean, reliable, accurate, and the brass reloads well) since I generally carry a 124+P

And I like simplicity/consistency, sooooo I ordered a second case of the RWS Geco 124gr (it's 124 and rated 1181 fps). If I could find equally priced Lawman in 124 I would have picked up a case of that instead, and I damn near got a case of the 115 Lawman from SGAmmo since it was the same exact price, shipped, as the Geco ($246/1k). Almost went with the Fiocchi too, but it was $14 more. My only concern with the Geco was the steel in the bullet jacket, but the indoor range I use most doesn't care and we don't have fire issues here, at least not yet that I've been aware of, so it's never been a problem outdoors either.

Target Sports USA is great. I hadn't ordered from them in 2.5 years, but I'm remembering why I always recommend them. I ordered the first case Wed night at 7:11 PM. It arrived today. I ordered the second case late last night. I wonder when it will get here. Wed maybe? I'll bet it beats Christmas. But we'll see. No rush I suppose.

FYI: The Speer Lawman 124gr is back in stock at Target Sports USA. $260/1k shipped

I was about to call Target Sports USA and change my second order from the RWS to this but when I checked my account it said the RWS already shipped about 5 hours ago.

I'll just put it way up at the very top of my list to buy ASAP, especially since I usually carry Speer Gold Dot 124+P

I love when this happens...it's that time (to buy 9mm range ammo) again and when I was Googling comparisons/reviews between my final contenders my own thread was the top result.

But anyway...this is a good little reminder about how relatively well priced ammo is right now.

I was looking at ~$240-$280 per 1k round case, shipped, when I started this thread 10 months ago. Yet right now you can get Speer Lawman 124gr for $216/1k shipped from sgammo or $220/1k shipped from target sports usa. And the IMI 124gr is $209 + shipping at Wideners.

That's only about 80% the price of last year.

The time to buy! It's here!

Yes, that is one of the exact things I am looking at.

I like and use standard NATO ball. Sometimes it's pretty cheap too. A little harder to find lately for some reason.

I wish I could edit my first post, people aren't seeing the date/didn't read this thread the first time (and thus hit the 'first new post' icon) and aren't getting the point of the thread bump.

10 months ago I went with a couple cases of RWS Geco that cost $246/1k shipped...I am now wishing I had went with something else because my new indoor range doesn't allow the bimetal jacket of the RWS, so it's in the 'shoot later' box.

This time I ordered the Speer Lawman 124gr for $200 + shipping from SGAmmo. The shipping is $16/1k but I ordered some 5.56 to split the shipping up a little so the effective price is more like $210/1k shipped. :)

This. And they're right around the corner from you.

Right now...no way not a chance. They want $280/1k for that 124gr canned heat that you quoted. Absolutely not even considering paying that when I can get 124gr Speer Lawman for $200-$220/1k

lol, I should have said this was an experiment to see if anybody actually reads threads past the OP before replying

Starting a new thread and linking to the OP would have likely been a better idea

I would think you've been around the forums long enough to know the answer to that ;)

I kind of thought a fair number of people did what I've come to do, which is to at least read the last 1-2 posts at the end before responding.

I also mistakenly, I see now, expected people to maybe look at the post date after seeing the rather high prices listed in the OP.

The link is a more foolproof method though, that's for sure.
