I have a HK P2000 in pretty good- close to new condition. I am pondering whether I should sell it and get some other handgun from listed below (need advice):

1. Beretta 92FS Inox
2. HK P30
3. HK USP
4. Ruger P95dc

Why?

Not to second guess you, but what don't you like about it?

My P2000 9mm is one of my favorites. It's accurate, reliable and ergonomic. I couldn't think of a single reason why I would sell or trade it for anything else.

The P30 is newer, but I wouldn't pay the extra for it versus my P2000. The USP is excellent, but you trade the universal rail for a safety and (aside from the compact models) a larger pistol.

I don't have any real experience with the Ruger or Beretta but I'm sure you'll run across fans who will recommend them and detractors who would question your trading an HK for them.

i would keep it or there is a realy good chance that you will regret it. the only gun that i could see goig with instead is the usp but why?

the p30 does nothing for me, the rugers are nice but they ain't h&k's. and i don't like berreta 92's. i would keep it.

My only reason for selling it is that on two occassions out of thousands, it mal functioned by not completely rest the bullet in the chamber where as my other two favorite hangduns Stichken APS and Glock never malfunctioned.

Now this is a totally different topic but what type of pistol mal functions are acceptable?

The HK USP and USPc are fully proven, rock solid and have 9 variants so if you want DAO with a decocker instead of a safety you can have at it. HK even makes a match trigger for them or a LEM trigger if you want the DAO with decocker option.

I love both my USP (bought in 94) and my latest 2007 acquisition, my USPc (both are V1, safety and decocker) and I absolutely detest the P2000 and P30 since I like C & L carry - although I do acknowledge their are lots of folks out there that like them, carry them and do just fine with them.

Bottom line thought is it is whatever floats your boat since it's your money....:)

The HK is a much better pistol than any Ruger autoloader.

As much as I like the other guns on your list, I personally would keep the p2000 (unless you'd prefer a full-sized gun for home defense). If you can only have one gun and you want a full-sized gun, I'd flip a coin. The USP and the 92fs are two of the best designs out there.
