Hey guys,
thanks to all of your inputs I recently purchased a Ruger P95, I gotta say I like the gun a lot so far. It is a little bulky as all of you have told me, but it is not overly uncomfortable and I am in the process of using it as a ccw. I bought a basic uncle mike's IWB holster for it, while it does a good job of concealing it, I thought about acquiring a belt or paddle holster for it. In addition, while uncle mikes does the job, I am looking for something that can be rotated or have a forward slant as that makes the gun much more easily concealed. I am looking for a holster that is not expensive and preferably a belt or paddle holster, because for IWB I think I will go with a bare asset holster , so somewhere under $40 would be nice. I was looking at fobus holsters but I've read reviews about how it rides too low, hard to draw and it damages the finish on guns so I don't think I'll get one, unless of course you can convince me otherwise. So if you could please recommend some good priced holsters I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks

all kydex will, eventually, cause scuffing. if you're really worried about the finish, go with leather or nylon. other benders might tell you different, but i have NEVER seen any kydex holster/sheath that did not leave a little rubbing mark on the equipment being carried. i've had experience with several different brands of kydex holster, before i started making them myself. speaking of which, if you live in Central FL, i'll make you a holster for it :)

My P95 is more of a truck gun than a carry gun. It's allways worked well as long as I use heavier, more powerful ammo. +P or +P+ for defense. I think it needs a new recoil spring.

I'd stick with the Uncle Mikes for now. Until you decide on a thinner weapon. My P95 really looks fairly new. Some of the slides finish is polished smooth from the holster, but it ain't bad. And I'm the second owner.

Dskoke I shoot and carry a P95. I carry 90% of the time with it and i shoot IDPAA, and action pistole with it. im not the fastest gun in town but i can hold my own.. For CCW i use a hoster made by FIST..
go to fist.com and they have a verry wide selection of holstes for CCW and they are made for the gun of your choice. they also sell mag carriers for them also. IWB,OUTSWB, to a sholder holster.
they are alot more than $40 I think that i spent just over 120 or 130 for the holster and mag carrier.

FOBUS "damage finish on gun?"

What?

Oh wait, I wrap my P95 in a luvvie, and cradle it a soft blankie whenever I have to travel the rough side of town.

No. You do not need to worry about the FOBUS holster damaging your P95.
What exactly is it about a P95 that you consider delicate, and likely to be damaged by a holster anyway?

As for "rides too low," well, if you prefer your pistol butt under your armpit, then the FOBUS holster is not for you. I'm wearing one right now, and my only complaint - a very small one - is that the paddle starts digging into my bony hip after a while. I prefer a more-snug (and more expensive) leather BELT-HOLSTER for long walks.

The FOBUS paddle holster is just fine. I don't care for the FOBUS belt-holster much though. It protrudes too much for good concealment.

I don't have a pic of the Ruger in the FOBUS holster.

Here are pics comparing the FOBUS paddle holster and the FOBUS belt holster.
