well in that case lets look at the benelli m4 (recently chosen for military). personally the m3 super90s my true love. pump and auto in one great looking package.

I like the coach gun, but any good double with any barrel length up to 28 inches is fine. Unlike a repeater, you don't have 10 inches to the action, so a 28" side by side is little longer than an 18" pump. When it's not sitting in the shop on guard duty, I can take it out hunting! It's choked mod/full, not optimum for slugs, but it holds 'em into 3" at 50 yards in the modified barrel.

I don't need no stinkin' useless tacticool pistol gripped worthless pump. :D I feel well armed with a double. My pump is for ducks and geese. Besides, if I didn't use this double for SOMEthing, it wouldn't get used much anymore. My M1400 Winchester is my upland/dove gun and my Mossy pump is my waterfowl gun. My hunting bases are covered. I really don't rely on shotguns for defense, hard to carry IWB, but I do have the twice pipe out in the shop for the purpose.

If it was good 'nuf for Doc Holiday, it's good 'nuf for me. :D

+1 for david_the_geek... I picked up my M3S90 in the weeks after Katrina and haven't ever reconsidered the purchase (even though I could have bought a mossberg and a half for the same price). In fact, I don't think you could get me to part with my Benelli for twice my purchase price. :D

Expecting a hurricane in Mesa this season????

:what: I hope not... if it gets all the way here, it was a hell of a storm when it started.

No, I just started to think a lot about the breakdown of order that happened after the storm... with nothing but an old 9mm in the house, I didn't quite feel that I had my bases covered as well as I should. None of the people I've gone clay poppin' with like her... they say she kicks too hard. I say she kicks just right. :)

Besides, if there's a major quake and Cali falls into the Pacific, Phoenix is gonna get *just* a bit more cramped as refugees flood in.

Yeah, I can fully admit that I bought a solution to a problem that does not exist yet... then again, it's a much better situation to have something and not need it than to need something and not have it.
