Houston 1911 Colt 9 competition problem

There aren't any tough Army inspectors checking for stuff like that any more. Most "1911s" on the market today are pretty much fakes.
My Colt 1991A1 9mm loads easily but I have had to deal with other peculiarities.

I have never had a problem with Colt 9mm 1911 mags. Have used them for many years in my .38 Super to 9mm. conversions.
As I stated "problematic", I have a couple of factory mags for my Springfield that insert fine but will not drop on their own. Have had similar problem with some 45 acp mags as well. I bought the different manufacturers mags to cover my bases and insure that all 3 9 mm 1911s will drop mags as they're supposed to.

The Springfield is sleeping at the store waiting for the 5 days delay time. I will do some testing with the mags and break it before any match. Sound like I will do the rimfire match again in April. Then heading to my first Steel match with 9 mm on May if the mags promo arrives on time. I will take the advice of highlander 5 on mags.
