Today I was out shooting my Taurus Mil-Pro, which has been a great pistol. I was shooting my 165 grain reloads which I have never had a problem with, having already fired 500 rounds of them without a hitch. Well today, after 2 magazines of rounds, the gun locks up, it will not go fully into battery! So I decide to come back to the house, grab a batch of my 180 grain FMJ's and try those, same thing! For the record, I tested both of these rounds in my XD and they chambered just fine. I'm very disappointed, I really liked this pistol, but after this failure today, I cannot trust it. I've decided to trade it on a Springfield XD subcompact in 40 S&W. Taurus may still have some work to do when it concerns long term durability, I've had this gun for 1-1/2 years now, fired 1500 rounds out of it.
